Lauren Goodger gets stunning white gold ring from jailbird lover Joey Morrison
The loved up Towie star can’t spend Christmas Day with Joey but she’s still been spoilt rotten by him
CRIMINAL Joey Morrison might be behind bars but that doesn’t mean he can’t spoil his Towie girlfriend Lauren Goodger rotten.
Joey, who’s currently serving an 18-year sentence for possession of a firearm, kidnap and blackmail has given Lauren an incredible white gold, diamond ring.
Although the pair can’t be together on the big day, after HMP Highpoint South ruined their festive plans by not allowing visitors, it seems Joey’s managed to pull out all the stops.
Lauren showed off the new piece of bling on Instagram, telling her followers: “I’m a very lucky girl”
Lauren, who’s known Joey for nine years, has stood by her man though and claimed he’s not the common criminal people think he is.
She told Closer Magazine: “It’s really narrow minded that people see him as a criminal.
“Yes, he’s not been an angel but people deserve a second chance and his crimes never involved innocent people.”
The 30-year-old said: “I really wanted to see him over the Christmas Day but sadly the prison is closed.
“I wanted to take him a Christmas meal but I’m not allowed to.
“I’ve already sent him trainers and tracksuits – but that’s all I can send!”
Despite this setback, Lauren’s excited about Joey getting out of prison and is looking forward to a future with him.
Towie star Lauren explained: “He’s done half his time and he should be out in a couple of months.
“I can’t wait! I’m going to hold a party for him, his family and our mutual friends.”
It seems starting a family is very much in her plans, with the broody star saying “I’ll have one next year” before admitting she’d love to have two children.
She added: “I’m so excited about having a baby. There will be a LG range and everything.”
Hopefully for Lauren Joey will be out in the New Year, after he got into hot water earlier this month after using a mobile phone behind bars.
Joey was caught with pals using the smuggled device inside HMP Standford Hill in Kent, a category D open facility.
It means he lost visitor privileges, such as two-hour outdoor visits from Lauren and is now at category C jail HMP Highpoint South in Suffolk.
