Mark Hamill leads Star Wars actors in sending best wishes to former cast mate Carrie Fisher after her heart attack
The actor took to his Twitter page to wish her a speedy recovery
STAR Wars star Mark Hamill has sent his love and best wishes to former co-star Carrie Fisher after she suffered a massive heart attack last night.
Hamill, who starred as Luke Skywalker alongside Fisher in four Star Wars movies, took to his Twitter page and wrote: “As if 2016 couldn’t get any worse… sending all our love to @carrieffisher.”
He was joined by actor Peter Mayhew, who is best known for portraying Wookie Chewbacca in the movies, who added: “Thoughts and prayers for our friend and everyone’s favorite princess right now.”
Billie Dee Williams, who played the smooth-talking Lando Calrissian in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, wrote: “Sending my love. Please recover @carrieffisher.”
And Dave Prowse, who is best known for portraying Darth Vadar, posted a black-and-white photo of him with Carrie, Mark, Peter, the late Kenny Baker and Harrison Ford in London in 1980 promoting The Empire Strikes Back.
And he wrote: “Sending love to @carrieffisher.”
Warwick Davis, who starred as the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi and had a very sweet scene with Fisher, took to his Twitter page and posted a photo of him and Carrie and her dog and wrote: "Sending love and well wishes to 'our Princess'. The Force is strong with you."
Rogue One writer Gary Whitta wrote, “Be well @carrieffisher. Thoughts, hopes and the Force are with you,” and Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, who played Captain Plasma in The Force Awakens said: “@carrieffisher The whole world is sending you so much love! Sending you the universes most powerful Force.”
And other sci-fi legends also took to their Twitter pages to send her their love, including William Shatner, who is best known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek TV series.
He wrote: “I ask everyone to stop for a moment and send special thoughts to @carrieffisher.”
His former co-star, George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu, added: “My thoughts are with Carrie Fisher and her family.”

Lord of the Rings actor Elijah Wood also tweeted his best wishes and wrote: "Thoughts and love for @carrieffisher. You can't leave us yet! May the force be with you."
Actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in the Marvel movies, wrote, "Pulling for you sister, sending you lots of love", while chat show host Ellen DeGeneres added: "Please send love and positive thoughts to my friend @carrieffisher."
And TV chat show host Graham Norton tweeted his best wishes after she was a guest on his show earlier this month to promote her book The Princess Diarist.
He wrote: "Don't even think about it!! This planet needs you on it! Sending so much love xxx."
Carrie is currently fighting for her life in intensive care after she suffered a massive heart attack and stopped breathing for 10 minutes on a plane last night.
The 60-year-old actress was on a flight from London to Los Angeles when she fell ill 15 minutes before the plane was due to land and was treated by a member of the emergency services who luckily on board the flight and administered CPR.
Once on the ground she was rushed to hospital and is now on a ventilator at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Her daughter Billie Lourd is also at the star’s bedside, along with Carrie’s beloved French Bulldog Gary.
