Glastonbury ‘to have two female headliners for the first time ever as major British band return’

An insider said, "It’s the dream line-up, a brilliant mix of different music and different atmospheres."

GLASTONBURY has reportedly secured Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay for next year's festival, marking the first time that two female artists will headline.

It has been claimed they will each perform on the Pyramid Stage, with Madonna, 65, closing on Sunday night and Dua, 28, billed as Friday’s top act.

Coldplay will perform on Saturday, according to a new report.

An insider told the : "It’s the dream line-up, a brilliant mix of different music and different atmospheres.

"Then, of course, you have Madonna on the final night, which will be epic."

Surprisingly, the Holiday songstress has never been booked for Glastonbury before - unlike Coldplay who have headlined four times in the past.

She said: “We did have a female headliner, and she unfortunately had to pull out . . . it changes all the time.

“But next year it's looking like we’ve got two female headliners, so fingers crossed.”

Taylor Swift was thought to have pulled out over a change in plans.

According to its website, Glastonbury will take place from June 26 to 30, 2024. Tickets go on sale later this month.

Emily has since written on Instagram, "As always, there is much speculation and excitement about who is playing at Glastonbury.

"We are working on the line-up day and night at the moment, but it’s still changing every day. The story about our confirmed headliners is untrue.

"As always, we love your enthusiasm and guesswork - but accurate news on headliners will be with you sometime in the new year!"
