TRAGIC Valerie Fairman had been trying to get clean for years before her untimely death on Wednesday.
claimed her passing was from an overdose, and on Thursday the outlet spoke to Valerie's devastated mother Janice Fairman about her daughter.
Janice revealed her daughter had checked into rehab five times in as many years, trying a number of different facilities to try and overcome her addictions, but always fell back off the wagon.
The stars mother added to TMZ that Valerie's most recent stint in rehab was just a few months before her death after she had served time in prison for violating her probation.
Valerie last spoke to her mum a week and a half ago, and while the pair didn't discuss her sobriety, Janice said her daughter sounded "way up" and "very good".
According to the website, Valerie was staying with a friend - who Janice says she does not know - when she visited the bathroom and caused concern when she didn't return.
The friend was forced to break down the bathroom door but found Valerie 'unresponsive' and she was later pronounced dead.
Her sister confirmed the news tweeting: "Valerie you will forever be missed. I love you baby girl and I will always love you."

The troubled reality star featured on the second season of MTV reality show 16 and Pregnant.
The show documented then 15-year-old Valerie as she prepared for the arrival of her daughter, Nevaeh Lyn Fairman.
Her life was infamously turbulent with her being arrested in 2015 for prostitution.
In 2016 she had another run in with the law and was sentenced to two years of parole for the incident and other priors.
It has also been claimed the reality star was arrested just last week and charged with resisting arrest and providing false identification to the police.
The star's daughter, Nevaeh Lyn, was not in her custody at the time and is believed to be living with her grandmother.
The coroner is awaiting toxicology results to help them officially determine the cause of death.
Valerie's ex boyfriend tweeted his own tribute to the star, writing: "I will always miss you Valerie and I want to tell anyone who is selling s**t to people to stop.
"We have lost too many loved ones to what you are doing."
