Zayn Malik ‘turned down by Gigi Hadid’ after proposing to her following less than a year of dating
The former One Direction heartthrob is said to have got down on one knee to his model girlfriend, but she said "no" thinking things are moving too fast
ZAYN Malik has reportedly proposed to girlfriend Gigi Hadid – but she said no.
The 23-year-old former One Driection hunk and his 21-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and model girlfriend have been romantically linked for less than a year.
But reports have suggested Zayn was keen to walk Gigi up the aisle – a change for her from the catwalks – but she refused because it was too soon.
A source close to the good looking couple told American magazine Life & Style Gigi wasn’t ready for marriage, saying: “She’s only 21 and doesn’t feel ready to tie the knot, so she turned him down.”

The source continued, implying Gigi’s experience of seeing her Real Housewives star mother Yolanda Hadid go through heartache may make her cautions to say “yes” to a proposal.
“She's seen her mom go through two messy divorces, so Gigi wants to make 100 per cent sure Zayn's the one before she makes a lifetime commitment,” the source said.
Pillow Talk singer Zayn was of course famously engaged to his Little Mix star Perrie Edwards until their relationship ended abruptly in August last year.
Zayn and Gigi’s own relationship has not been without disruption – with the couple hitting the rocks earlier in 2016, before reconciling and continuing their relationship as summer began.
Perrie – who has now reportedly moved on from her split with Zayn – has channelled her relationship breakdown into recent chart topping smash Shout Out To My Ex in which she implied Zayn was a bad lover and implied she hoped Gigi was having better luck than her with him.
A spokesperson for both Zayn and Gigi was not immediately available for comment on the Life & Style report.
