Pals fear for Katie Price after boozy Christmas party antics and second public meltdown in two weeks following turbulent year
The glamour model finally faced up to her troubles and has revealed her drastic decision to ditch alcohol for a year
KATIE PRICE has vowed to give up booze – just hours after we revealed her drunken antics at a Christmas party.
She revealed her drastic decision to become teetotal for a year during a live appearance yesterday on ITV’s Loose Women.
Katie, 38, admitted: “I’ve definitely had the light-bulb moment. When I drink I’m a nightmare.”
The former glamour model faced up to her troubles after our exclusive pictures yesterday showed her yelling abuse and stripping off in front of revellers during a public appearance.
Katie turned up drunk to a corporate bash, hurled abuse at staff members and exposed her boobs to fans in the ladies’ loo.
But The Sun can reveal the reality TV car crash had a shocking meltdown just days earlier which saw cops called.
Now pals fear the reality star is heading for her worst meltdown yet.
Here, we reveal the star’s turbulent 12 months . . .

WHEREVER she treads, drama is never far away – but even by her own standards the past 12 months of Katie Price’s absurd life have been out of control.
Violent altercations, lewd behaviour and a tangle with the law have capped a troublesome year for the model formerly known as Jordan.
Now her behaviour has sparked fear among pals that she is losing a grip on her life — and her marriage to husband Kieran Hayler.
Yesterday The Sun told how the mum-of-five disgraced herself while being paid £13,000 for a public appearance last Tuesday night at an insulation firm’s Christmas party held in a suite in Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium.
The reality star arrived drunk before inviting women to feel her boobs and shouting abuse at hecklers.
She was also accused of fondling the manager and asking his wife if he was “f***ing me or you tonight”.
The shocking aspect about this humiliating episode is that it was not an isolated event. It was her second public meltdown in as many weeks.
Today we can reveal how cops were called to a Glasgow hotel after Katie, 38, flew into a rage at staff for not letting her into her room — and she also lobbed plates at the duty manager’s head.
A source said: “It was carnage. Katie was screaming her head off.”
She was ordered to leave and later turned up at the Glasgow home of owner of Bar Budda — the nightclub she had been paid to appear at — begging for somewhere to stay.
As a sign of how bad her behaviour really was, the four-star Lorne Hotel in Glasgow’s West End took the surprise step of issuing a statement denouncing the star.
The hotel said: “It is extremely rare for us to take the kind of action which results in a guest being ejected. The guest became extremely abusive towards the staff member and so the duty manager agreed to escort them to the room.
“Once the guest was granted access to the room, they continued to shout abuse and to make matters worse, threw plates at the duty manager, breaking these against the wall.
“The police were called. After the police spoke with the guest for almost an hour, the guest was invited to leave the premises.
“The hotel chose not to press any charges and simply wanted a quick resolution to the issue for the safety of our guests and our staff.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed: “Around 1.50am on December 11 staff at the Lorne Hotel in Glasgow asked police to attend.
“Upon attending advice was given and no complaint was made. No further action was taken."
Last night Katie denied causing trouble at the hotel, branding its statement “complete rubbish”.
She also insisted there are no troubles in her marriage to Kieran, telling The Sun: “We are very happy in love and very happily married.”
But over the past 12 months, boozy tirades have become Katie’s staple.
In August the star launched a foul-mouthed rant at families in a Majorca karaoke bar after being booed by the audience for her bad singing.
All three incidents are eye-opening and alarming — but some friends of the star say they are not surprised.
A pal said last night: “This was on the cards. Everyone is really worried.”
So where did it all go wrong for the no-nonsense businesswoman?
“It’s the men again,” sighed one pal. “It is very clear that something is deeply wrong in her marriage and so she is rebelling. This is what she always does. Look at what happened with Peter Andre and Alex Reid.”
Indeed, Katie’s relationship with former stripper Kieran is at its lowest point since she discovered his ten-month affair with her best friend Jane Pountney.
The model previously admitted that she wanted to “commit suicide” after catching the pair kissing on a beach during a joint family holiday to Cape Verde in April 2014.
She was expecting their second child Bunny at the time and soon discovered that their ten-month affair had started when she was pregnant with their first child Jett.
Kieran also cheated on Katie with her friend Chrissy Thomas and was later diagnosed with a sex addiction.
Friends believe that any loving marriage Katie had with Kieran, who she wed in 2013, is over.
They say the former stripper has become nothing more than a glorified member of staff.
In April he was even reeled out for one her notoriously bonkers press calls dressed as a unicorn.
One pal said: “He slaves away on their farm looking after her animals. Tensions are running high.”
The couple tried to make up after Kieran’s cheating and since renewed their wedding vows after Kieran volunteered to undergo therapy.
But Katie recently admitted that the pair’s sex life has deteriorated.
Asked if therapy had changed him, she replied: “Completely, from him wanting to f*** everything to me being like, ‘Do you want it?’”
The couple’s marriage was also rocked by The Sun on Sunday’s revelation in October that Katie — also mum to Princess Tiaamii, nine, Junior, 11 and Harvey, 14 — had spent an hour in a hotel room with Geordie Shore star Scotty T. Katie denied they slept together.
In October she announced a two-month break from her duties on Loose Women to deal with her relationship problems and took Kieran on a late honeymoon.
It followed weeks of Katie travelling the UK on her book tour, where she opened old wounds by reliving the affair in front of audiences night after night.
During a recent interview Katie revealed she was still plotting revenge on Kieran two years after the affair, saying: “I always say to him, ‘You haven’t had your karma yet, but something will happen.’”
Her desire for revenge, say some, is driving her current destructive form. One pal said: “Woe betide any man who wrongs Katie.”
Indeed, she only recently rekindled her relationship with ex-husband Peter Andre, 43, seven years after their split.
She also has a long-running feud with cross-dressing ex Alex, 41.
Katie’s misery has also been compounded by the strain put on by her stepdad Paul Price’s rape trial.
The 53-year-old fence erector had been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in March 2015 but was eventually found not guilty earlier this month — leading to jubilant celebrations from Katie.
She was also left shaken up recently after having chewing gum thrown at her by a group of strangers on a train — a noteworthy event for a star who usually enjoys a good relationship with the public.
But even that part of her life has begun to crumble, not helped by a string of bizarre statements.
In March she confessed on Loose Women that she would have aborted son Harvey — who suffers from genetic condition Prader-Willi syndrome — had she known he would have no eyesight before birth.
The ex-CBB star even said on the show that her kids were “ugly when they were born”.
And so it was that she was back on Loose Women yesterday in a bid to seek some kind of redemption.
“I’m not going to drink for the whole year,” declared Katie.
“Because I’m small it affects me. I never know when that one is too much.
"It’s taken me 30 years to realise.”
— KATIE Price’s ex Dane Bowers was accused of punching a guest at the party where she bared he boobs.
Dane, 37, admitted he hit sales manager Aaron McCormack, 41, but said it was only a “slap”.
Onlookers said the former pop star stormed out after Katie described a sex act he once performed on her
