A FORMER noughties star who couldn't go 20 minutes without drinking alcohol in the past, is now 20 months sober and has a completely different career as an author.
The singer, now 45, shot to fame in 1997 with the hit song I Can Make You Feel Good.
Anthony Kavanagh – took to X/Twitter to share news of his 20 months sobriety with his 32.6k followers.
In the past, the former popstar couldn't go 20 minutes without a drink, so he's grateful to be sober now.
Anthony has previously talked candidly about his issues with alcohol.
He was admitted to rehab in 2017.
The former musician tweeted: "20 months sober. I couldn’t get 20 mins without a drink so to say I’m grateful is an understatement...
If you are struggling then reach out to someone or DM me. I didn’t think there was life after drinking, I’m glad I was wrong. *This pic was not posed."
Fans rushed to congratulate him on his achievement.
One penned: “Well done Kav! You're doing so well."

Anthony has now left the music industry to pursue a career as an author.
He is currently writing his memoir, Smashed Hits, which will explore the highs of his rapid rise to fame as well as the darker side of the 1990s music industry.
"It's quite therapeutic to write about that time because you get to look back at what happened during that time," Anthony told Brobyn on BBC Sounds.
In a 2014 interview with , he revealed how his good friend, the late singer Amy Winehouse, had urged him to sort himself out.
After 1999's Will You Wait For Me, Kavana's solo career was finished.
However, he took the decision to relocate to the United States, where he appeared in a number of commercials and an MTV show.
After that Anthony landed a publishing deal and became a songwriter.
Kavana disappeared from the public eye before re-emerging in 2014 as part of the second series of ITV2's The Big Reunion.
