Christmas Great British Bake Off hit by CHEATING row between contestants Chetna and James
CAKE didn't taste so sweet for Great British Bake Off stars James Morton and Chetna Makan who came to blows over an almost-identical festive loaf.
The pair turned the heat up in the tent when a feisty Chetna accuses the series three baker of "CHEATING" during what is the BBC show's final episode on the broadcaster.
Teaser clips for the Boxing Day foodie extravaganza show the pair deep in concentration while they prepare the traditional Scandinavian doughy treat - yet confrontation is sparked when Chetna shouts: "James you are cheating!".
It seems her suspicions about the junior doctor are warranted when he makes a blunder with his own plaited design, before telling the camera: "Oh that's so annoying!
"I reckon Chetna has got this right, I can fix this.
"I am just trying to think how I can make it look more like Chetna's."
James then proceeds to mimic Chetna's figure-of-eight method as she plaits her mixture.
Sensing an frosty atmosphere, presenter Mel Giedroyc quizzes Chetna about her accusation, to which she replied: "he has changed it after seeing my design.
"Bake Off first!"
In her typically hilarious style, Mel then announces: "Bake Off first, we have a cheating incident!"
"Involving Chetna, hide your goods Chetna!"
Meanwhile the fashion designer, who missed out on the fifth series final, can be seen throwing daggers at James, 25.
Yet judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry are left oblivious to the bready fracas as they are sent out of the room, before judging the challenge blind.
The show will take on a different look when it switches to rival broadcaster Channel 4 in the New Year.
Paul, 50, will follow the show to its new home while Mary, 81, walks away after seven years.
Hosts Mel Giedroyc, 48, and Sue Perkins, 46, left last week saying they wouldn’t “follow the dough”.

Next comes the technical challenge. In the first special, Mary's recipe will result in a stunning bake decorated with chocolate snowflakes and in the second, Paul will be hoping the bakers create his bread creation to perfection.
Finally there is the showstopper challenge. Bakers must produce a suitably stunning and festive masterpiece with a Christmas theme.
