The hypocrisy of Adele’s boyfriend Rich Paul who’ll write a tell-all book for cash but ‘won’t talk about personal life’
WHEN you’re writing a deeply personal memoir you would, naturally, expect to be probed about the most intimate aspects of your life in chats aimed at selling copies.
But it seems Adele's sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul only wants to cash in on certain things.
When asked about the nature of their relationship, he refused to speak about it because he wants to protect his privacy.
During a painfully awkward interview on CBS in the States, Rich was asked to clarify whether he had married the British superstar.
It came after she called him her husband and referred to herself as his wife during a live performance.
Like a cat on hot coals, Rich danced around the subject and said: “You know I don’t talk about my personal life publicly.”

When the hosts continued to grill Rich, he said: “She’s been great. She would agree that we’ve definitely helped each other.
"I’m in a good space, we’re in a good space. Happy. She’s superb.
“She’s been great for me and we’ve been great for each other.
“I’m just not the type of person to put my personal life . . . It’s not for the media. It’s for us.”

Asked if people should call her Mrs Paul, he added: “You can say whatever you want.”
Hang on, what about the personal life you’ve written about so diligently in your new book, Rich?
The memories you’ve prised out of the locker to make a lorry-load of cash for yourself? Is that not your personal life?
As a man who has read every painfully boring celebrity auto- biography under the sun, I can at least give kudos to those stars who actually have the guts to open the floodgates.
With Rich, it appears he is only willing to dish out a carefully edited version of his life, with a major redaction on his relationship with Adele.
Which, to be honest, is the only thing I’d be keen to find out more about.
The blurb on Rich’s book promises to take readers on a “riveting journey” and says, “Paul has always been lucky”.
Too right, given the stellar talents of the woman he’s attracted.
But sorry, Rich, you’ll have to be more than lucky to sell many books this side of the pond.
Hugs are way to go for Caity
CAITY BASER reckons long hugs are the secret behind her upbeat persona.
The gen Z pop star, best known for her hit Pretty Boys, said: “I kind of want to be a big sister to everybody. You can talk to me about anything. I’ll probably be like, ‘I did that too’.
“The world is so judgy, we need to hug more.”
Caity performed at London’s Lafayette on Monday for War Child UK Day of the Girl and compared her love of performing to a Thorpe Park thrill ride.
She said: “I explain the feeling of going on stage like a rollercoaster ride. You know you’re not going to die.
“You’re going to sit there waiting to go up, then you go on and you’re like, ‘Ahh this is amazing’. Then when it’s over you want to do it again. It’s like Stealth for an hour.”
HE made his big- screen debut more than 40 years ago, but Eddie Murphy has never starred in a traditional Christmas film, until now.
My exclusive pictures show the Hollywood star in Candy Cane Lane, a festive family comedy that follows his character Chris in a race against the clock to save Christmas.
Murphy has reunited with Reginald Hudlin, who directed his 1992 comedy Boomerang, for the flick, which will be released on Amazon Prime Video on December 1.
With Eddie also producing the film, I’m expecting a barrel of laughs when I retire to my sofa after too much turkey.
SHE is well known for her love of a good party.
Now Abbey Clancy has laid down the gauntlet to hubby Peter Crouch ahead of her 40th birthday in January.
The model said on their Therapy Crouch podcast: “We’re planning my 40th. I can’t wait.
“You won’t get it wrong, Pete, because I’ll tell you exactly what I want. I want Simply Red. He’s on tour.”
I’m sure Mick Hucknall would be more than willing to oblige if he can fit you into his schedule.
For her 30th birthday celebrations, Abbey threw a wild Twenties-themed bash with a free bar, canapes and Great Gatsby-style entertainment.
It would take a lot to top that, but a turn on the mic from Mick would definitely seal the deal.
Bryan rocks Albert Hall
BRYAN ADAMS is to do a three-night run at the Royal Albert Hall as part of his So Happy It Hurts tour next year.
The Run To You singer said: “Our last visit to the Royal Albert Hall was such a great series of shows it was a no-brainer to want to come back and do it again.”
He will take to the stage to perform some of his biggest hits from May 13.
Following the back-to-back performances, the Canadian rocker will head to the Midlands to play in Coventry on May 17 before moving on to Sheffield the following night.
The tour then heads to Cardiff on May 19, before rocking up in Dublin on May 21 and Belfast the following day.
Bryan said of the shows: “This time we have a whole new perspective on how to make it work and with three different albums. The band and I are really looking forward to it.”
I CAN’T think of many better ways to spend your birthday week than by soaking up the sun on a beach.
And that is exactly what Una Healy did as she turned 42 yesterday.
The Saturdays singer wore this brightly coloured bikini as she dipped her toes into the sea in Lisbon, Portugal.
Una shared the snap of herself on Instagram with the caption: “October is the new summer.”
Name will change for Easy Life
NDIE band Easy Life have said they will change their name after easyJet’s owners began legal action claiming their title was too similar.
The group from Leicester revealed they feared losing their homes if they didn’t win a high court battle with easyGroup.
They said they will go under an as-yet unknown new name this week but will play two final shows as Easy Life.
The last-minute concerts will take place at Leicester’s O2 Academy on Thursday and London’s Koko on Friday.

In a note posted on their website, they wrote: “Sadly, it seems that justice is only available to those who can afford it. We simply don’t have the funds to access a fair trial.
“Not to mention this would likely rattle on to 2025 and we wouldn’t be able to release any music in the meantime.”
