And so he jumped at this chance to be marooned for a week in the South China Sea​, to relive the adventure.

However, it proves to be no island paradise – within an hour of landing and trying to construct a shelter, he’s vomiting his guts up and has to call in a doctor.

Not a promising start.

And things don’t get much better​ as he struggles to find clean water, malarial​ ​mosquitoes make sleeping impossible and there are snakes everywhere.

Still, as we all know​, he’s an expert angler so he’ll have no problem catching fish, will he…?​ ​He ​may come to love​ the adventure, but it’s most fun watching him gently suffer.
