Coronation Street’s Andy Carver in danger as evil Phelan reveals he knows he was the one who tried to kill him
The builder woke up in hospital after the attack and he knew exactly who was responsible
IT WOULD take more than a brick to kill Pat Phelan in Coronation Street.
The evil builder was bashed over the head by a grieving Andy Carver earlier this week and after telling police Kevin Webster attacked him, it became clear he knew exactly who had attacked him.
"I keep having these flashbacks you know, the pain when I hit the floor, I can just about make out a shape," Phelan said as he revealed he knew Andy attacked him and only told the police it was Kevin to mess with him.
"Course I saw you, you idiot. I like messing with him, you on the other hand, I've got bigger plans for you. From now on you do as I say. Come back and see me tomorrow or I call the cops, understand?
"Oh yes officer, it's all coming back to me now, white male, about 5' 10, brown hair, brown eyes, his name? Oh it's Andy.
"You follow?"
It was revealed earlier today how Andy was to take drastic action when Phelan survives his murder attempt.
The bereaved pretend son of Michael Rodwell smacked the evil builder over the head with a brick on Thursday night's episode of the ITV soap but was thwarted by his own girlfriend who found the bleeding builder and called for an ambulance.
Now with him surviving the assault, Andy's going to be forced to take drastic action and he starts by stealing from the bistro after his girlfriend accidentally over-orders some equipment.
But when the burglary leaves Robert pointing the finger at Steph, Andy's guilt begins to consume him and he phones a friend in Newcastle.
The damaged son will slip away on New Year's Day as his friend celebrate the new year in the bistro, but will he manage to leave the street for good or will he be stopped?
Andy might want to run and not turn back if Phelan remembers what he did to him after Steph saved his life.
"Thank God you came back when you did," he said, seething that the evil builder had been found still breathing.
As Steph called for an ambulance, Andy began to panic as he realised Phelan could recover and come back for revenge on him.
Viewers know Phelan will survive but will he remember anything of the attack and will he return the favour to Andy?
The villainous builder watched and gloated as Andy’s fake dad Michael Rodwell died of a heart attack in front of him and since then Andy has been determined to exact revenge.
Eileen Grimshaw could be set to MARRY evil Pat Phelan after he worms his way back into her clutches.
The taxi dispatcher had thrown the conman out after he admitted to losing all the investor's money in his flat scam, but she remains blissfully unaware that he was involved and that he is responsible for Michael Rodwell's death.
But now in a shocking twist, it appears she will forgive him and agree to marry him in a Christmas wedding.
Pictures taken of filming show Eileen arriving at the church and waiting around for Phelan with the threat of him standing her up.
But pictures show him rushing to the church which could mean the pair tie the knot.
She was followed by son Todd (Bruno Langley) and his boyfriend Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who will apparently act as a witness to the wedding.
However, the soap mother could be in for even more heartbreak if Pat ends up jilting her at the alter.
Evil Phelan only proposed to Eileen after she discovered his and Vinny's plane tickets to Mexico, which he lied about and said were for their honeymoon.
However his idea to jet off with the residents' money for the housing scam ended up in disaster after his con friend Vinny (Ian Kelsey) conned him and dashed off with the cash himself.
Phelan - who gloated as Michael Rodwell had a heart attack and died in front of him – had to return to Weatherfield to face the music after business partner Vinny ran off with the cash from the flat scam, and now he’s found a way to get his revenge and clear his own name.
After attempting to scam Eileen and other Weatherfield residents for hundreds of thousands of pounds in his building scam, Phelan was scammed himself by Vinny and lost it all.
However, with the police sniffing around, Phelan found a way to get his revenge.
He told the officers that Vinny had scammed him too and run off with the money and hinted that he may well have been responsible for Michael’s death.
Back on the street, Phelan’s previous victim Anna Windass worked out that Phelan must have had something to do with Michael’s death and told a devastated Gail and Eileen.
Eileen had laid into Phelan after finding out (most of the truth), but appears to turn up for her wedding day anyway...
