Gogglebox viewers in for a shock as favourites Sandy and Sandra are separated for tonight’s episode
It's the first time the pair, who have been friends for more than 40 years, haven’t appeared together on the show
GOGGLEBOX star Sandy Channer will be replaced on tonight’s 100th episode by her best pal Sandra Martin’s daughter.
Chanchez, 23, will take Sandy’s place on the sofa to have her say on all of the week’s telly alongside her mum.
It’ll be the first time the pair, who have been friends for more than 40 years, haven’t appeared together in the history of the Channel 4 show.
A source close to the show said: “Sandy had other commitments which meant she was unable to take part in filming for tonight’s episode.
“It’s a real shame because it’s the 100th show and it would have been amazing to have a proper celebration.
“They are real characters and viewers love them together. Sandy will be back at a later date.”
However, her one-time replacement will give viewers an insight into Sandra’s life.
Chanchez, one of her four children, will make her debut on the show when they are expected to watch shows including the X Factor Final and the Royal Variety Performance.
The show source continued: “It’s really heart-warming to see Sandra with her daughter on the show.
“They get on like a house on fire and are hilarious to watch. It’s always good to spice up Gogglebox sometimes with some new additions.”
However, there are currently no plans for Chanchez to join the show permanently.
