Carol, Mark and Jess Wright lead the emotional tributes to Towie legend Nanny Pat on the first anniversary of her death
The iconic Towie grandmother passed away last year aged 80 following a short illness
JESS AND CAROL Wright have posted touching photos of the late Nanny Pat to commemorate her on the anniversary of her death.
The much-loved Towie character - full name Patricia Joan Brooker - died a year ago today at the age of 80 following a short illness.
Mark Wright completed the family tributes by posting a meme that read: "I cried when you passed away, I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, GOD broke my heart to prove to me he only takes the best."
Alongside the poem, he added: "1 year today. Miss you so much nan. Always thinking of you girl. I love you"
During her time on the show, Nanny Pat became a firm favourite for her no-nonsense and loving approach to her family and the goings on of the Towie cast.
The bubbly blonde was always there for Jess and Mark Wright during their relationship woes, and a sausage plait ready for any family occasion.
Three weeks before she past, Nanny Pat returned to Towie for a party to celebrate her 80th birthday.
Cementing herself as Towie royalty, Pat dressed up like the Queen at the regal themed bash - with all of Towie's favourites attending the event.
In a heartwrenching speech to the partygoers, Carol once again gushed about her lovely mum, and said: "This little old lady puts everyone first and never asks for anything in return - apart from a packet of candy!"
She later added: "She is such an inspirational lady and I'm so lucky to be able to call her my mother."
Showing that age is nothing but a number when it came to Nanny Pat, the 80-year-old later took centre stage herself and announced: "You only live once. What is it? YOLO? Thank you very much!"
