Coronation Street’s pregnant Michelle Connor asks a ‘smitten’ Robert Preston to move in
Tracy Barlow's ex-husband once again appears to be keen on someone else's wife...
CORONATION Street's Robert Preston and Michelle got much closer on Thursday night's Corrie - with Michelle even asking Tracy's ex-husband to move into the Rover's Return.
Robert (Tristan Gemmill) and Michelle's (Kym Marsh) friendship boundaries seemed to be getting a little blurred once again.
After the pair had managed to get their money back, they sat in their white van eating when Michelle mentioned that they had a spare room going at the Rover's Return.
Robert remarked: "No, don't be daft."
Michelle asked why it was daft and he responded: "Well, you don't want me getting under your feet, do you?"
She replied: "Listen, having a fit bloke around will put Liz in a good mood. I'd pay you to stay."
Robert said that he would "think about it".
The pair were later sitting at a table together in Nick's Bistro as Michelle remarked that she "hadn't laughed so hard in ages".
Michelle oohed and Robert was quickly by her side with a hand on her back.
But as Steve arrived Robert immediately looked a lot less comfortable but then laughed with Michelle and told him about how she had "saved the day".
Later Robert seemed unhappy to share the couple's home and tried to make an excuse saying that he was "quite skint" at the moment.
This was to no avail - and he will now be living with his crush and her partner. Bit awkward.
Over the past couple of months we have seen Michelle and Robert get closer. Considering the fact that she and Steve are set to split after she finds out that her husband is also having a baby with Leanne Battersby after their one night stand, this could make way for a Michelle and Robert romance.
