Joe Jonas hits back at Sophie Turner after she sues him as he rages ‘I did not abduct my children’
JOE Jonas has hit back at Sophie Turner after she revealed she was suing him to hand over their kids' passports.
The Jonas Brothers star branded the lawsuit a "harsh legal position" and said it goes against their "amicable co-parenting setup".
The 24-year-old's rep added to : "Less than 24 hours later, Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK.
"Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately."
Joe also insisted their daughters Willa, three, and their one-year-old have been with Sophie, 27, in New York since they met on Sunday to discuss their co-parenting plans.
“Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the UK,” his rep added.
The rep also pointed out that the children are American citizens and said Joe refuted Sophie's claim that she learned of their divorce "through the media".
He insisted she was "aware" he was filing for dissolution of their marriage following "multiple conversations".
It comes after she confirmed her divorce on September 6 after four years of marriage.
The Dark Phoenix star took to and released a statement: "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage."

She continued: "There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly, this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.'"
Sophie then sued estranged husband Joe to return their two daughters to England.
The Game of Thrones actress filed the lawsuit in a Manhattan court on September 21, according to the documents obtained by the U.S. Sun.
According to the agreed plan: "When the Mother finished filming on September 14, 2023, she would travel to New York to collect the children and return home to England.
"The parties’ plan was for the Mother to spend a week with the family in New York, and then to return home to England with the children on September 20, 2023, where the Mother has a short work commitment on September 28, 2023.
The documents continued: "The Mother has requested the return of the children to England.
"She has submitted her Application for Return with the Central Authority for England & Wales.
"The Mother has never consented or acquiesced to the removal of the children from England."
The legal documents closed with: "The Mother has promptly, and to the best of her ability, taken all legal steps available to her to seek the return of the children to England."
Sophie, 27, wrote in the filing that the so-called wrongful retention started on Wednesday, September 20.
Joe's estranged wife said she and the Jonas Brothers star agreed over Christmas 2022 that the twosome would make England their forever home.
The former couple would have started looking for schools for their older daughter, Willa.
On September 19, Joe's Florida attorney confirmed "that the Father will not return the passports to the Mother and will not consent for the children to return home to England."
Joe is repped by Tom Sasser who handled golfer Tiger Woods' infamous divorce to Elin Nordegren.
The exes relocated from Miami to England on April 10, 2023.
Joe, who resides in Los Angeles, brought his kids on tour with him and his brothers Nick and Kevin.
According to , the couple's prenuptial agreement stated that Joe will “keep all of his royalties from the music” with his siblings.

Sophie will keep the money she made from the HBO fantasy drama as well as “any residuals from her acting career.”
Their homes that were obtained before they got married will remain with their rightful owner.
