Larry Lamb confirms romance with ‘lovely’ French woman Marie but dodges Katie Price’s question about marriage
The actor discussed his new lady for the first time on Loose Women
LARRY Lamb has confirmed his relationship with Marie Victorine on Loose Women.
Last week The Sun Online revealed his long-term relationship of 20 years with Clare Burt had ended and he had moved on with French artist Marie, who also goes by the surname Hugo.
But while he was happy to talk about his new romance, Larry dodged Katie Price questioning him on whether they would be getting married.
Discussing his relationship with Marie, Larry revealed that he found the jungle experience easier because things were so stable at home.
He told the women: “I was in such a sort of stable situation with Marie.
“I had no worries at home. I was able to focus on what I was doing.”
Straight talking Katie quickly asked him: “Are you going to marry Marie?"
Laughing Larry told her: “I’ve had three marriages already. I’m nearly 70.”
Not giving up Katie asked again, to which he replied: “I sort of, I think these sort of things are best discussed in private.”
Yesterday The Sun Online revealed that Larry's relationship with Clare had in fact ended over a year ago.
Larry flew his new partner out to Australia to meet him once he finished his stint on I'm a Celebrity earlier this month, and the pair were pictured sharing a hug as they were reunited.
While Marie was billed as 'Larry's friend' on the show, his co-star Martin Roberts accidentally described her as his "lovely new lady", revealing there was more to their relationship than just platonic friendship.
And a source close to the 69-year-old told The Sun Online: "Larry began dating Marie over a year ago.
"But he's a private man and he wanted to keep the relationship as quiet as possible for as long as he could.
"He had been with Clare for more than 20 years and he wanted to take his time before revealing any new relationship."
Viewers saw Larry, 69, embrace Marie as he was kicked off the show.
Gushing about Larry as she drove to meet him, Marie said: “I am very proud of Larry. He has been busy looking after everybody, which I must say he does always. I will give him a big hug. He deserves it – more than one!”

The pair then stood arm in arm on the jungle bridge – nattering away in French.
Larry said to her “what a story”, to which she replied “it’s long” – suggesting she has missed him during his time in the jungle.
