The BBC actress first told fans she was adding to her brood in June.
Joanna, 38, again used her social media page to post: "Some good news! We've got baby number 3 on the way!!!! ... Morning sickness is a breeze when you're already looking after a 3 and 1 year old! (sic)"
Emmerdale actor James proudly took to his own account to make a separate announcement.
He posted: "Great news! Baby number 3 is on the way!"
He then quipped: "Gonna be shifting from man to man marking to more of a zonal system of child control."
Gavin and Stacey fans were glued to Stacey's persistent efforts to become pregnant with her Essex husband during the hit BBC series.
Yet in real life, she doesn't seem to have had any problem.
In a recent chat she revealed she was "addicted" to adding to her brood.
She said: 'James is one of four, so to him four is the norm. For me one is the norm, but I can see how people get addicted to having babies.
'I would like to keep going and pop out as many as possible - I only wish I'd started having them at a younger age.
Talking of losing her pregnancy weight she added: "I think it’s awful that women are expected to be a certain shape so soon after giving birth.
"I really don’t understand that pressure. This idea that you should lose all the weight you’ve put on within six weeks of producing a child and have a washboard stomach."
