WARWICK Davis has had an incredible career, since his rise to fame in Star Wars.
Sadly, behind closed-doors, the host suffered a terrible loss after his beloved wife Samantha passed away.
Warwick Davis is an English actor, television presenter, writer, director, producer and comedian.
He was born in Epsom, Surrey on February 3, 1970, with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, an extremely rare genetic form of dwarfism.
Warwick has previously said that the only drawbacks to his dwarfism is the associated health problems.
Although he is mostly known for his acting career, the actor has taken part in several projects outside of film and television.
In 1995, he co-founded a talent agency Willow Management with his father-in-law Peter Burroughs.
The agency specialises in representing actors under 5 feet tall.
Over forty members of Willow Management were cast as goblins in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
Warwick has also published a best selling autobiography called Size Matters Not: The Extraordinary Life And Career Of Warwick Davis.
Warwick is known for many roles, including in Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Willow.
His first role was as an Ewok extra in Star Wars but when Kenny Baker, who was originally going to play Wicket fell ill, he was asked to fill the post.
In 1987, Warwick was called to Elstree Studios to discuss a new film called Willow, which was written with him specifically in mind.
The actor then played the role of Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011.
In addition to playing Flitwick, Warwick also portrayed goblin Griphook in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.
The role was previously played by fellow dwarf actor Verne Troyer, but he sadly passed away.
Over the years the in demand actor has amassed a huge fortune.
As of 2024, the star has a net worth of £8million.
Warwick makes his money through his acting roles, popular quiz show, and his talent agency.
Warwick met his late wife Samantha in 1988 when she was an extra on the set of the film Willow, which he had the leading role in.
They dated for years before getting married in June 1991 in front of family and friends.
She was also an actress known for her roles in Through The Dragon's Eye, ShortFellas and Honky Sausages.
Samantha has achondroplasia, a bone growth disorder that causes disproportionate dwarfism.
In 2019, the actor revealed that Samantha had been struggling with sepsis.
Warwick exclusively told The Sun that her health dramatically declined ahead of a family holiday. “Sam was feeling absolutely terrible,” Warwick recalled.
“She was becoming drowsy, weak and hadn’t been to the toilet in over 24 hours.
“Fortunately for us, our doctor recognised Sam’s symptoms and told us to head to A&E immediately with a suspected case of sepsis.”
On March 24, 2024, Samantha passed away at the age of 53.
On April 17, 2024, Warwick released a tribute to his late wife.
He said: "Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.
"She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes."
The couple's two children are Harrison and Annabelle.
They both have the same form of dwarfism as Warwick does.
Annabelle is an actress, and starred in the CBBC show The Dumping Ground as Sasha Bellman.
She then joined Hollyoaks as Lacey Lloyd, leaving in October 2023, but making a brief return at the start of 2024.
