Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon is moving in with her new man – just a year after dumping childhood sweetheart
Lucy and her boyfriend Tom Leach are house hunting for a love nest together
LOVED-UP Lucy Fallon is house-hunting with her new fella – just a year after walking out of the flat she shared with her childhood sweetheart.
The Coronation Street actress moved back in with her parents after splitting with waiter Ryan Roberts after almost three years together after meeting him when she was just 16.
The pair moved into a flat close to the Corrie cobbles so she could be nearer to work but they broke up at Christmas last year, with Ryan later telling The Sun that fame had gone to her head.
Just weeks later she announced she was dating handsome Tom Leech - a mate of heartbroken Ryan’s – and now they are looking for a place together and plan to move in after Christmas.
But she’s vowed to stay close to her parents and friends in her home-town of Blackpool, Lancs, so she’s got a support network to keep her grounded.
A soap source said: “She moved in Ryan at a time when things were starting to peeter out and in hindsight it wasn’t a good idea.
“She felt lonely and isolated from her family and moved back in with her mum and dad when they split. But now she’s been dating Tom long enough to know he’s the ‘one’.
“They are looking for a place between Blackpool and Manchester and will have been going out around a year when it is all sorted so it will be a nice way to spend their anniversary.”
Lucy, 21, is now a fixture in the Street after joining the show to play troubled Bethany Platt almost two years ago.
But bitter Ryan, 22, complained that Corrie killed their love.
He spoke out in April after Lucy revealed she was seeing Tom. He claimed she cheated on him, allegations strongly denied by the star’s agent.
Ryan said fame changed his former flame and Lucy had "become arrogant and lied so many times".
He said that the couple had even talked about getting married but claimed that after she settled into her role on the cobbles she became distant preferring to hang out with her new celeb friends over him.
"She was behaving like a spoiled diva, but I loved her," he said.
The actress recently revealed she had been swamped with messages from bullying victims after her latest storyline saw Bethany targetted by bullies.

She revealed: “When storylines are serious like this, you want to get it right and do it justice, and not trivialise such a difficult part of life for people of any age. I was determined to do it well and get it right.
“I’ve had quite a lot of people on Twitter saying how it’s helped them to speak to people.
“Other people have also been in touch to say it was hard for them to watch because they had experienced bullying in the past, so it served as a reminder to them.”
