Nicole Scherzinger working with coach to help her sex scenes ahead of new role
WITH leather hotpants and jaw-dropping dance moves, she rose to fame in the raunchiest girlband of the Noughties.
But I can reveal Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has been working with an intimacy coach to help her with sex scenes ahead of her new role in London’s West End.
She is set to star as leading lady Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sexed-up take on Hollywood musical Sunset Boulevard.
And theatre bosses have hired award-winning movement director Ingrid Mackinnon to help Nicole in her bedroom action with actor Tom Francis.
An insider on the show told me: “Intimacy coordinators are mandatory now because actors need to feel safe with their co-stars.
“In the past, people were taken advantage of, with actors crossing boundaries on stage.
“A coach helps to ensure no lines are blurred which helps stamp out sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.”
The production, which will open at the Savoy Theatre in London on Thursday, will be a return to the West End for Nicole — eight years after she was nominated for an Olivier Award as Best Supporting Actress in Cats.
Nicole filmed herself outside the theatre on Friday, ahead of the play’s upcoming opening.
Announcing her part in the show, Nicole said in May: “I can’t wait to think and play outside the box with brilliant, cutting-edge director Jamie Lloyd.
“And to have the honour of working with the legend himself, Andrew Lloyd Webber, to bring this timeless masterpiece to life.”
Former X Factor judge Nicole’s starring role comes after her rugby boyfriend Thom Evans popped the question in a romantic beach proposal in June.
He shared photos, captioning them: “My Ever After.”
The couple first met when Thom appeared as a contestant on a celebrity edition of The X Factor in 2019, as part of rugby boyband Try Star alongside Ben Foden and Levi Davis.
Hopefully he won’t feel too awkward when he watches Nicole’s racy scenes on stage.
KYLIE’S REDDY TO PARTY
LIFE looked rosy for Kylie Minogue as she arrived for the opening party of London Fashion Week in a pink and red frock.
The Aussie star, who later changed into a tartan Vivienne Westwood dress, opened the event held in collaboration with Diet Coke.
She said: “London fashion has shaped my career and my life, so it is special to be here celebrating.”
The star-studded bash at London Lio – which was also attended by pop band Blossoms and presenter AJ Odudu – saw Kylie sing hit Padam Padam from upcoming album Tension.
And she couldn’t resist bursting into a rendition of her Nineties smash Better The Devil You Know.
The late Vivienne may still be the fashion queen, but Kylie will always be our pop princess.
CROWN’S ERIN HAS LOVE SPLIT
SHE found her Happily Ever After in The Crown, as Princess Anne.
But in real life, I can reveal that actress Erin Doherty has split from her fellow actress partner Sophie Melville.
Erin has since signed up to celeb dating app Raya, stating that she is in the film and theatre industry and looking to find love in London.
She has linked her profile with I Want You (She’s So Heavy) by The Beatles and lists her interests as coffee, reading and meditation.
A source told me: “Erin was catapulted to fame after The Crown.
“Her relationship with Sophie ran its course but Erin is looking to settle down.”
Erin previously revealed that living with Call The Midwife actress Sophie had made her “so healthy”.
Speaking about life at their London flat, Erin said: “I used to sit at home eating a bag of chocolates and now we have, like, a kale salad.”
Hopefully Erin picked up some cooking tips from her now ex.
DEMI: MY PRESSURE ON IMAGE
DEMI LOVATO has revealed she has felt pressure to don skimpy outfits to stay relevant in pop.
The US singer said: “There have been times where I’ve been on stage in just leotards and stilettos, where I released music and toured, as that’s what I felt like I was supposed to do.
“It’s hard when you’ve been in the industry since you were a kid. I’ve been afraid of losing relevancy at times.”
Demi, who found fame in Disney’s Camp Rock movie franchise, told the Zach Sang Show: “It stems from being a child star, I’ve a fear of not having public validation.
“I’m learning that my happiness isn’t reliant on what the public thinks of me.”
SOPHIE’S FRANKLY OVER IT
SOPHIE TURNER has been snapped locking lips with her co-star Frank Dillane on set – days after confirming her marriage was over.
The former Game Of Thrones actress appeared in a green swimsuit as she frolicked in the sea with the actor while filming in Spain for ITV drama Joan, in which she plays 1890s jewel thief Joan Hannington.
It seems it is not not all work and no play – Frank lifting Sophie up in the air as she splashed her legs in the water.
It comes after Sophie and Jonas Brothers singer Joe announced in a joint statement on Instagram that they had “mutually decided” to end their marriage after four years.
JUNIOR: I’LL BE A STAR IN OWN RIGHT
WHEN you’re the son of Katie Price and Peter Andre, a showbiz career was always on the cards.
But Junior Andre has insisted his music success is solely down to hard work after beating thousands of kids to bag a coveted place at London’s Brit School, which nurtured talent including Adele and Amy Winehouse.
In his first ever newspaper interview, Junior – the eldest child of former model Katie and Mysterious Girl hitmaker Pete – told how he signed up for a theatre course at the performing arts college when he was 16.
Speaking to Biz on Sunday, he revealed: “It was just a great experience.
“I had to audition and do two monologues – one was Shakespeare.
“It was just straight acting. When I went there, they were like, ‘What! You’re not doing music?’.
“There were only 50 places and I was lucky to get in based on my acting skills.
“It was amazing and I was surrounded by people who wanted to do the same thing – I did theatre all day, every day.
“I finished when I was 17, as I only did it for a year, and then I got my record deal.
“It was hard as I was trying to balance it with music. I got my dip-loma, which was great, and then I left. They were happy for me.”
Meanwhile Junior, who dropped his new single Only One on Friday, said he would not rule out doing a reality show – after his mum and dad met on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.
“I grew up doing TV with my family, so that’s almost second nature to me,” he said.
“I would 100 per cent in the future do reality TV shows if it was right for me.
“A new show could come along and it would be perfect.
“But I feel like I need to focus and work hard so that I’m established. I don’t want people to say, ‘He’s not even anyone yet’.
“Not that it matters, but if I’m a proper established artist then I would not be opposed to it. I’m only just starting out.”
Asked if he would be up for following his parents on to I’m A Celeb, Junior said: “We were the first babies born out of the jungle so imagine if I met my future wife there.
“I used to be called ‘Mowgli’ as a little joke – he’s a character from The Jungle Book, and I came from the jungle.”
KATE CAN COUNT ON NIK
KATE MOSS was reunited with on-off boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck on Friday night at the one-year anniversary of the model’s wellness brand Cosmoss .
I’m told photographer Nikolai was keen to show his support and spent much of the bash by the fashion icon’s side.
It comes after their eight-year relationship was thrown into doubt this summer when he was seen entering a Paris hotel with model Camille Rowe and partied at Glastonbury festival without Kate.
An onlooker at the soiree – held at private members’ club Apollo’s Muse, in London’s Mayfair – tells me: “Kate and Nikolai are clearly still close, and he seemed very protective of Kate and stayed close to her all night.
“He wanted to show his support at her special event as he knows how important Cosmoss is to her and how hard she has worked on it.
“There is a lot of love and respect still there.”
It comes after Nikolai joined Kate as her date at her ex Jefferson Hack’s country wedding to model Anna Cleveland in July.
Nikolai is still friendly with Kate’s model daughter Lila, who was also at the party.
He’s had a busy week after being snapped having a ciggie with Rita Ora and arguing with make-up mogul Charlotte Tilbury at the Vogue World party on Thursday.
He must be knackered . . .
