Prince Harry took girlfriend Meghan Markle on secret date to watch West End show The Lion King
The Prince is determined for him and Meghan to enjoy as much "normality" as possible after they were also spotted buying a Christmas tree together this week
Prince Harry took girlfriend Meghan Markle on a date to a West End show during a recent visit, The Sun can reveal.
The Prince, 32, is determined for him and Meghan to enjoy as much "normality" as possible, and took his theatre-loving girlfriend to see tourist favourite The Lion King.
A source revealed: "He doesn't want their relationship to trap them both behind closed doors.
"They want to do normal things together as much as possible, and Harry is a master of going incognito in London.
"He has had a lifetime of sneaking into venues and making his way out again while avoiding being mobbed by fans.
"Both Harry and Meghan obviously understand the intense interest in their relationship but are determined to enjoy time together without too much fuss."
News of the theatre trip comes after they were spotted shopping for a Christmas tree at a store in Battersea Park, west London, on Monday.
According to staff at the store, the couple looked very happy together and walked off holding hands - with the prince carrying a £65 tree on his shoulder.
Staff at the store are even reported to have offered the royal couple mistletoe, with worker Ollie Wilkinson explaining: "I said 'would you like this mistletoe' and she said 'yes that would be great.'
"He then squeezed one of the berries on it and was like 'I find this stuff weird' and then she was like 'oh, I really like it.'
"Then he walked off with the tree on his shoulder, holding her hand, and she was holding in her other hand a bunch of mistletoe."
