KATIE Waissel has split from her second husband Brian Moote after just a year of marriage.
The Celebrity Big Brother star was pictured carrying her dog around New York on Monday - minus her wedding ring - and has pulled out of starring in a panto.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal her marriage split, after just a year of wedded bliss, is the reason she pulled out of playing Princess Jill in a production of Jack and The Beanstalk in Northwich in Cheshire.
A source said close to the 30-year-old who first found fame on the 2010 series of The X Factor confirmed to The Sun Online her second marriage had soured.
They said: "Katie and Brian have split, and she is simply too upset to handle the gruelling regime of a pantomime."
Just last week Katie was hinting to fans about her new life as a single woman.
She tweeted: "When you realize you're a grown up & pay your own bills & live on your own & if you want to have a beer in bed at noon with pizza you can!!!"
The source added: "She's jetted back to America and has set up home in New York with her dog, Norman.
"Christmas will be tough on her own, but having to put on a brave face in front of a full house every night would have been tougher.
"She's devastated things with Brian haven't worked out."

Katie and Brian married in secret in October 2015 after dating for a year, with the couple settling in Los Angeles.
The singer was previously married to male model Brad Alphonso but split after just two months of marriage in December 2012.
Initially, Northwich Memorial Court, the venue where the production is taking place, stated in a press release: "Due to illness, Katie Waissel has regrettably had to withdraw from our production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
"Katie is extremely disappointed to let down her fans and customers who have purchased tickets to see her. Anton Benson Productions Ltd and Brio Leisure wish Katie a speedy recovery and look forward to working with her in the future.
The 30-year-old was last pictured sunning herself in California, before she was supposed to head back to Cheshire in time for her pantomime stint.
She previously told OK! Magazine about her union with Brian: "It was like that age-old saying: "When you know, you know",'
"I’ve been married before so I was in no rush to get into anything else, but we’re best friends. It didn’t seem fast for me."
Meanwhile Brian said: "It was very low-key. We decided to get married with a high five over dinner one night in August."
Katie's reps declined to comment.
