Phillip Schofield swears on This Morning as Rusty Lee gets over-excited making festive mince pies
Host was keen to know how the recipe panned out as the chef made jokes at his expense
PHILLIP Schofield swore on Wednesday's This Morning during Rusty Lee's cooking segment.
The presenter asked the chef how she made her "bl***y" mince pies" after she poked fun at him, but thankfully it was all made in jest.
It all started as the star made her Caribbean mince pie filling, and Phillip and Holly dipped their forks in.
As she did so, Holly said: "You're meant to do this on a Christmas cake aren't you?
"You're meant to dip in and make a wish, I'm going to make a wish, I'm not going to tell you what it is".
Without missing a beat, Rusty pointed at Phil and said: "I know what he's wishing for" before bowing her head.
Confused, the presenters asked what she was doing that for, and Rusty explained it was referring to Phil's recent documentary where he chatted with Prince Phillip before carrying out a daring charity wing walk.
Rusty said: "A badge after all that flying up and down on a plane. Isn't the badge an MBE or an OBE?"
With his mouth open as Rusty laughed her head off, Phil replied: "Stop it I didn't do it for that!"
"I know, of course not I'm only pulling your leg" she added with another bellowing laugh.
As Phil clutched the edge of the bench and bowed his head to stifle his giggles as Holly also creased up, Rusty added: "You see I've made you blush! Lovely!"
Rising up, Phil replied: "How do you make the bl***y mince pies!"
Thankfully it was all in good spirits and the three continued to laugh as the hosts helped Rusty cut the star shapes out of her pastry to top off the mince pies.
It isn't the first time Phil has had a close call with language, had a sudden on-air meltdown at a This Morning scriptwriter today after he stumbled over his lines.
He was introducing the Christmas TV segment but stopped half way through saying: "who wrote this?!"
Phillip started off saying: "As the Beards Of A Feather flock together and Blankety Blank returns to our screens, Sharon Marshall has picked out her top TV shows to watch this Christmas.
As he started to shake his head, he continued: "She's bringing us all that plus the festive soap shockers in just..."
The alliteration all seemed to get a bit much for him as he then stopped and exclaimed: "Who the hell wrote this? Are you trying to get me to swear?"
His co-host Holly Willoughby and TV expert Sharon couldn't stop laughing as Phil put his head in his hands.
