GREG James missed his Radio 1 breakfast show today as his wife Bella Mackie was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
DJ Greg, 37, announced on Instagram that he wouldn't be on the station and needed to be by his partner's side for an urgent appendicitis operation.
In the early hours, he shared a post from Bella, 40, where she told fans: "In the morning I have to have surgery for appendicitis and I am terrified.
"If you've had this op and want to reassure me, that would be nice (only reassurance nothing else)."
She added "Today hasn't been a classic tbh," in her caption to go with the make-up free selfie from her bed.
While Greg couldn't make it to the studio, Jordan North saved the day and kept his colleague's seat warm this morning.

Greg pre-warned fans the I'm A Celeb alum would be presenting instead, in one of his posts with Bella.
He wrote, "Luckily for her she married an annoyingly upbeat man to keep her company (before I get chucked out).
"Back on the radio on Monday so I can be on call in the morning. Jordan's gonne cover coz he's nice."
Later on, the Lewisham-native larked about as he opened his mouth every time the pager beeped.

He captioned the video, "Tbh I think Bella might chuck me out before the nurses do. Ps. I know it's always mentioned but f**king hell we're lucky that so many brilliant people work for the NHS.
"I'm never not amazed by them. They've all been so kind to a very anxious person today."
Bella asked Greg to marry her back in February 2018.
They kept their engagement a secret until June that year, and the happy couple tied the knot in September.
As of 2023, they do not have children.
Bella is a journalist from London who's previously written for VICE and The Guardian.
Her father is Alan Rusbridger, who was the editor-in-chief of The Guardian from 1995-2015. Bella chose the name Mackie to distinguish herself from her dad.
We don't know when she started dating Greg but it was definitely some time after March 2017 - when she wrote a article about embracing singledom.
In the piece she reveals that she was married before to a man she met when she was 28 - but was divorced within two years.
