Peter Andre reveals he won’t let son Junior audition for talent shows as he wades into Cruz Beckham debate
The singer jumped to the defence of the 11-year-old's choice to pursue music, but admits he doesn't want his son to join in
PETER Andre has jumped to the defence of Cruz Beckham following Piers Morgan's attack - but has admitted he doesn't want his son to pursue a music career.
The who has just become a dad for the fourth time with wife Emily McDonagh, slammed Piers Morgan for calling 11-year-old 's venture into music "sickening".
Peter called the Good Morning Britain presenter "out of line" over his comments.
Piers came under fire for accusing the Beckham family of "pimping out" their youngest son, with David Beckham amongst those hitting back at the critique.
Now Peter, who has 11-year-old Junior with ex-wife , has used his unique perspective on the music industry and parenthood to wade into the conversation as well.
Speaking in his column, he said: "Junior asks me all the time if he can audition for shows like BGT, but I don't want him involved in that world yet."
Calling David and Victoria Beckham "great parents" to their family of four, he added: "If both parents agree and they keep a close eye on him, it's up to them."

If Every Day was Christmas has been released by Cruz as a charity single for Global's Make Some Noise foundation - his first release since signing up with Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun.
At the announcement of the single, Scooter told The Sun: “I’ve known Cruz and his parents for a while and I saw him sing. David and I had a conversation and decided, ‘Let him have some fun’.
“Then he made a Christmas single and came to us and said, ‘Hey, I want to do this for charity and help other kids’.
“When they told me the idea, I said I’d be more than happy to help. I hope he inspires more kids to give (something) back.”
However, it has sparked a debate over whether or not he is too young to be releasing music, which was exacerbated by Piers's comments on Good Morning Britain.
The Sun later revealed that Cruz had no intention of pursuing his music full-time, and would return to school following the success of the song.
A source told Dan Wootton's Bizarre Column: "There is no pop masterplan. He is 11 and very much a little boy at school doing something cool and Christmassy for charity."
