Big Brother champion Josie Gibson to risk life and limb as she joins The Jump line-up
The reality star is facing her toughest challenge yet on the Channel 4 reality show
JOSIE Gibson has signed up for the new series of The Jump.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal will pull on her warm and fluffy clothes and hurl herself down mountains and off jumps for the Channel 4 reality show.
A source told us: "Josie has been training hard for the show and really throwing herself into it.
"She's been having ski lessons to try and make sure she doesn't embarrass herself on the slopes and she's really taken to it."
Now pictures of Josie and some of the other celebrities training have emerged showing her falling over and gamely getting back up to try again.
The reality star will join a host of other celebrities risking life and limb for the competition's fourth series.
Model Vogue Williams recently became the latest celebrity to sign up for the show.
Likewise, TOWIE star Lydia Bright joined the line-up alongside Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews, retired rugby player Gareth Thomas and model Caprice.
The stars taking to the slopes will risk injury as they compete, but after a host of serious injuries plaguing participants, the show doubled its training schedule to help keep the new stars safe.
In 2014 dancer Ola Jordan sustained serious ligament damage while preparing for series two and had to quit the competition.
The third series earlier this year saw former Team GB swim star Rebecca Adlington dislocate her shoulder, forcing her to leave the show.
Holby City actress Tina Hobley is still recovering from a dislocated elbow and a badly ruptured knee ligament which she suffered while training for the competition.
Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle seriously hurt her back and required surgery when she crashed during the show.
So to say the least it’s a daunting challenge for The Jump’s new intake, who also include former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler and England rugby World Cup-winning winger Jason Robinson.
Even so, in Lydia’s case, The Jump is far less scary than getting into an argument in the Sugar Hut with Gemma Collins.
Fans will be pleased to know that Davina McCall will be presenting the show again this year and it's set to return early next year.
- The Jump will return in January 2017
