Amir Khan set for reality TV series after wife Faryal Makhdoom’s explosive family drama Snapchat rant
AMIR KHAN’s secret family drama came to a head this week when his wife FARYAL MAKHDOOM publicly accused her in-laws of trying to beat her up.
The sorry saga would have made perfect fodder for some explosive telly.
It can surely be no coincidence then that Amir and Faryal seem to be launching their first ever reality show.
The pair look to have teamed up with new Sky channel Booom TV for a KARDASHIANS-style programme called Home With The Khans where cameras will follow their family life.
A now-deleted picture shared on the channel’s Instagram page showed Amir and Faryal posing together alongside the caption: “Coming soon on @BooomTVUK #HomeWithTheKhans.”
Knowing the baggage that comes with the Khan family — and after their explosive row this week — a behind-the-scenes look into their lives would offer top entertainment.
A source said: “Amir and Faryal have a big fanbase and love letting their followers into their life on social media, but a TV show is next level.
“After the events of this week Faryal has made it clear that no one messes with her or Amir.
“Their life is always full of drama. It’s going to be very interesting to see how that unfolds on screen.
“Faryal is immensely proud of her family and won’t hold back, that’s for sure.”
If the show goes ahead, it will not be the first time Amir and Faryal have let cameras into their life with two-year-old daughter Lamaisah.
Earlier this year the boxer shot a one-off fly-on-the-wall documentary for HBO reality series 24/7 before his fight with CANELO ALVAREZ.
The tension within the Khan family exploded this week when Faryal lashed out at Amir’s family members in an angry Snapchat post.
In one, thought to be aimed at his sister Mariyah, she said: “What about when your sister-in-law come to hit you when your husbands not at home and still u don’t raise ur hand out of respect for ur husband!”
She also accused her mother-in-law Falak of trying to destroy her marriage, saying: “When you force your son to divorce his wife, when she’s 9 months pregnant! And your son doesn’t … and he sticks besides his wife. He’s called a pussy!?”
Forget the Kardashians — keeping up with the Khans is a harder task than any.
Love ‘n’ hate
5IVE reuniting was one of my favourite comebacks over the past few years.
But it turned sour after ABZ LOVE unexpectedly quit, leaving RITCHIE NEVILLE, SCOTT ROBINSON and SEAN CONLON as a trio.
Now, for the first time, he has told why he left – and he hasn’t much Love for his bandmates.
In his new track Pure 64, Abz raps: “You ain’t nothing but a bitch, left me in a ditch, got me proper stitched, don’t care, just wanna get rich.”
Other lyrics include: “You put me in the dark, left me all alone, like a tramp in the park you took all I own.”
London-born Abz tweeted that he was quitting 5ive in 2014, without first telling the others.
He’s now set to write a tell-all book on the split.
Nineties boyband fans will fancy reading that.
Rita’s Raye of hope
RITA ORA’s not just a pro at scouting fresh catwalk talent.
The new America’s Next Top Model host has hired rising Brit School star RAYE to write a hit tune for her heavily delayed comeback album.
Speaking at the launch party of MTV Brand New 2017 at Tape London, shortlisted act Raye, below, who’s been nominated for every rising star award on the circuit, revealed: “I’m doing writing for Rita Ora. I wrote a song and her A&R people said they loved it and wanted to cut it.”
Meanwhile, Rita – who makes her host debut on Monday – turned the streets of New York into her own runway as she debuted five different looks in 24 hours, including this green thigh-high split dress, right.
Hopefully she can start churning out tunes as fast as her outfit changes.
Chintz is in for Rod
ROD STEWART is as proud of his interiors as designer LAURENCE LLEWELYN-BOWEN.
The veteran rocker defended the decor of his £7million Essex mansion after claims its “chintzy” look had caused him to slash £500k off the asking price.
The avid TalkSport listener called up The Two Mikes to explain, after hosts MIKE PARRY and MIKE GRAHAM discussed the house bashing.
Rod said: “Chintz never goes out of fashion.”
He also hit back at the snootiness shown to Essex, where he’s lived for 30 years.
Rod added: “Essex has some of the best pubs and countryside. It’s very under-rated.”
As I have Essex roots myself, I totally agree.
Raunchy rowers
THE Warwick Rowers were banned from YouTube for being too raunchy after teasing their naked calendar in a bid to raise awareness of homophobia in sport.
But I invited the lads in for a stripped-back Q&A live on my Facebook, where fans were more than happy to see Lucas, Tom and Cian bare all for the amazing cause.
Here they all are wearing nothing but a well-positioned calendar.
Make sure you check out my steamiest Facebook Live yet at facebook.com/danwootton. Now who wants a calendar for Christmas?
James back with a bang
JAMES ARTHUR capped a stunning career turnaround by playing a special Sun gig last night.
The 2012 X Factor winner thanked Bizarre for supporting him throughout his comeback, before treating fans to hits from his chart-topping album Back From The Edge.
And if that wasn’t enough to get them excited, he told me on stage at London’s Islington Assembly Hall he wants to release on a special record the tracks that didn’t make the cut .
James, above with me, said: “I would just love to put out another album because I’ve got so much s*** left over from the last album.
“So much stuff – like I could put out another two albums. More music. I’d love to win more awards for validation.”
I have a feeling plenty of gongs are coming his way soon.
