I’m A Celebrity’s Martin Roberts reveals he DID have a secret code in the jungle to communicate with family – and this is how he did it
Presenters revelation comes after fellow campmate Sam Quek also revealed how she had communicated with her boyfriend from the camp
SNEAKY Martin Roberts had a secret way of communicating with his family while on I'm a Celebrity.
The Homes Under the Hammer presenter finished in sixth place on the ITV show last week, and was delighted to be reunited with his wife and two children, Megan and Scott.
But after appearing on Thursday's This Morning, Martin revealed to them behind the scenes he had found a way to secretly send messages to his clan.
He said: "While I was in there I understand there was a lot of shenanigans about secret codes that were being given.
"Well Sam [Quek] had 143 written on the front of her hat which is I love you.
Martin started to wiggle his finger, and added: "People might have noticed me doing that with my finger, that is not some strange symbol thing, it’s actually the letters of my children.
"M for Megan and S for Scott and I just wanted them to know their daddy was thinking about them."
Martin's admission comes just a day after Olympic hockey player Sam admitted she too had used secret code to communicate with her boyfriend Tom. Mairs.
Sam confessed she had written the numbers 143 on the front of her hat - which is their special code for "I love you".
Upon returning to the Versace hotel after leaving the jungle, Sam is seen discovering that Tom had written 143 on their bed in rose petals.
Meanwhile Martin also discussed his feud with Larry Lamb with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The men found themselves at loggerheads throughout their time together on the ITV reality show, with some claiming the EastEnders actor was bullying the presenter.
During last night's Coming Out show, the pair were seen engaging in an awkward hug as Martin arrived back at the Versace Hotel in Australia after he was voted off the programme.
But Martin told the hosts the men shared a more genuine, heartfelt moment off camera on their last day Down Under.
He said: "We did bury the hatchet.
"Larry definitely didn’t treat me as it would be fair to be treated, I think some of it was over the top.
"For whatever reason, there were times when it was really difficult.
"The first day out I was really angry but my overall experience was so brilliant, and so lovely.
"By the time it was our final morning, I was having breakfast with Kirsty and the kids and Larry walked in and I thought 'I need to do something here.'
"I went over and gave him a real hug, I didn't let go and he just broke down in tears and he said 'I am so so sorry for the way I acted towards you and I am so sorry for what I said'."
Holly said, “And do you accept that apology?”
Martin replied, “Of course, of course. I think Larry said if we’d met at a party or some social event we’d probably get on fine, but you’re thrown into that environment...”
