Huge noughties pop star joins dating app Hinge after saying he is ‘ashamed’ to be single

AFTER admitting in February he was “ashamed” of being single, pop star Will Young is taking a chance on love – and you could be in with a chance of dating him.

The Evergreen singer has created a profile on the dating app Hinge in a bid to find a boyfriend.

Will has included videos of him on his profile, including one of him singing his 2019 song My Love.

Writing on his profile, when asked what he was going to do more of this year, Will said he wanted to take up Pilates.

Asked what was the thing he would “not shut up about,” Will added: “How awful choosing these awful questions and answers is.”

In the clips uploaded to his profile, Will also revealed his green-fingered side and said he’d put a crab apple tree into a disused part of his area in London.

He told the camera: “Hello, I am here in my neighbourhood and I am doing some rogue planting.

“The space has been empty for about a year so I am going to plant a tree in it.”

I’m sure some Alan Titchmarsh wannabes will be in touch soon, Will.

Speaking about his love life earlier this year, Will admitted it was hard not having someone to share his life with.

The singer, who has four UK No1 singles and albums, said: “I’ve been mostly single throughout my life.

“I don’t feel it now, but there was a time when I was quite ashamed of it.

“Relatives pityingly asking … ‘Anyone?’”

Back in 2016, it was revealed Will had been looking for love on another dating app, Tinder.

Reflecting on his experience a year later, he explained: "I said to a friend of mine, 'I'm famous, but I would quite like to go on Tinder.' He said, 'F***ing go on Tinder then, who cares?'

“So I did and it was brilliant, hysterical."

But speaking about dating apps, he added: "Those things are conduits, not places to have relationships.

“The same as being in a bar can be a conduit or being set up at a dinner party."
