Love Island bombshell Kady McDermott’s ‘secret boyfriend’ is swerves jail over £360k money laundering scam
LOVE Island star Kady McDermott's "secret boyfriend" has swerved jail over a £360,000 money laundering scam.
Liam Greer, 30, was arrested in February last year - a month before he jetted away with Kady on a five-star holiday in the Maldives.
He has now avoided jail at Harrow Crown Court after pleading guilty to laundering £359,700.
Greer was instead handed a 14 month sentence suspended for 24 months.
Police launched an investigation and discovered more than £300,000 had been sent to his bank account within a seven-day period from different people.
Officers from the Met's Central Specialist Crime unit are still trying to track down those individuals.

Greer was linked with Kady when she entered the Love Island villa for a second time.
The couple had enjoyed a romantic Valentine’s getaway at London’s 5-star Bvlgari Hotel last year while he was under investigation.
Police believed he was living at Kady’s renovated Hertfordshire bungalow and searched it as part of their probe.
As well as the Maldives trip, the pair were also pictured together on holiday in September and had been spotted near her home on dog walks shortly before she re-entered the villa.
Kady, who previously dated Aston Villa star Matty Cash, coupled up with Zachariah Noble after stealing him from Molly Marsh.
She then got together with Ouzy See, but the couple have since split up.
Kady also addressed speculation she had a "secret boyfriend" after Mitchel Taylor hit back at her branding him and Ella Barnes "fake".
Mitch said: "You're calling me and Ella B fake...you came in with a boyfriend.
"You have a boyfriend to this day and I've been told by the other girls, I'm not going to name names because I'll just take all of this - you had your boyfriend's bracelet on.
"Your boyfriend was at your house whilst you were there. You're calling me fake."
But Kady responded: "The narrative that I had a boyfriend whilst in the Love Island villa is categorically FALSE. My mum stayed at mine whilst I was in the villa to look after my dog and house."
