NOEL Gallagher has admitted that getting older means he struggles to recall lyrics to some of his most famous songs.
The 56-year-old — famed for Oasis hits including Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back in Anger — put his on-stage forgetfulness down to the “ongoing march of time”.
Noel, who is on the road with his band the High Flying Birds, said: “I’ve found myself on this tour consciously thinking, ‘What is the next line to this song?’
"It’s like, you’ve just got to think about it.”
And he said he feared he would soon be forced to join the likes of Sir Elton John, 76, and Sir Paul McCartney, 81, in using an autocue to remind him of the lines he wrote.
Speaking to Matt Morgan on his Patreon podcast, Noel, said: “I’m sure eventually I’ll need one.”

Noel previously said he was feeling his age, but wanted to embrace it.
He said: “My forties was my absolute peak — but from the minute I woke up on the 30th May in my first day of my fifties, it’s just been one thing after another.
“What I’ve found is that the slightest knock stays with you for ages and then its something else.
“I can’t wait to get my mobility scooter, if I’m being honest.”
