Coleen Nolan insists Jake Roche and Jesy Nelson split is ‘amicable’ as she hints pressure on the romance was to blame

Coleen Nolan confirmed the news that her son Jake Roche and Little Mix start Jesy Nelson have split.

As  previously revealed by The Sun, Coleen revealed that  Jake and Jesy had called off their engagement  but insisted that the duo were still friends.

Monday morning's instalment saw Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, Ruth Langsford and Coleen discussing the effect marriage has on a long term relationship.

Coleen admitted: "I feel there’s such a pressure on a relationships as soon as you get engaged.

I know that happened with Jake and Jesy when they got engaged. There was immediately so much pressure from everyone and in the press.

"People keep asking when they were getting married and I was asked when the wedding was."

When asked if they pair had officially split, she continued: "Yes they have split up. But it’s been kinda amicable and they are both dealing with it really well... and their both friends.

"It's hard to deal with, especially when you're young."

Meanwhile, Jesy opened up about her heartache on stage over the weekend.

The Sun Online previously revealed the singer’s engagement to the Rixton frontman came to an end.

Little Mix singer Jesy,25, has now explained that she deals with heartache by going through “stages of crying” and replying on the support of her friends.

The singer also admits the best way to move on is to “get yourself out and… mingle.”

Speaking at the Capital Jingle Bell Ball, she told  BANG Showbiz: “You have to go through the stages of just crying it out. Be around your friends and having that support and then you get yourself out and you mingle.”

Since the split, she has been throwing herself into work with the girl band and she looked incredible as she took to the stage with the group in London yesterday.

The couple had been planning to tie the knot after Jake proposed on stage in July last year.

However, The Sun Online exclusively revealed the relationship crumbled and they split in the autumn after a series of rows.
