DAME Judi Dench has shared devastating health update - as she reveals she can no longer see on film sets.
The renowned actress has opened up about her eyesight problems.
Dame Judi Dench, known for her incredible talent and numerous acclaimed performances, spoke out about her deteriorating eyesight and how it has impacted her work.
The star revealed that she has been battling age-related macular degeneration, a disorder that causes gradual visual loss.
Her revelation is undoubtedly a significant barrier for the actor in an industry where visual narrative is essential.
But she hasn't let it stop her from working as she explained she's developed an "alternative method" of learning scripts, such as having "friends teach her the lines".

She said: "I mean, I can’t see on a film set any more, and I can’t see to read, so I can’t see much. But, you know, you just deal with it. Get on."
'It's difficult for me if I have any length of a part,' she said to :
"I haven't discovered a solution yet. Because I have a large number of buddies who will teach me the script. However, I have a photographic memory."
Dame Judi added that she intends to work "as much as I can" despite her eyesight challenges.
According to the NHS website, age-related macular degeneration affects the centre of a person's vision and is most frequent in those in their 50s and 60s.
Although it does not result in absolute blindness, it can make daily tasks like reading and face recognition challenging.
