But she hasn't let it stop her from working as she explained she's developed an "alternative method" of learning scripts, such as having "friends teach her the lines".

She said: "I mean, I can’t see on a film set any more, and I can’t see to read, so I can’t see much. But, you know, you just deal with it. Get on."

'It's difficult for me if I have any length of a part,' she said to :

"I haven't discovered a solution yet. Because I have a large number of buddies who will teach me the script. However, I have a photographic memory."

Dame Judi added that she intends to work "as much as I can" despite her eyesight challenges.
