Tommy Fury lifts lid on epic proposal to Molly-Mae and reveals he decided to pop question just 3 WEEKS ago

TOMMY Fury decided he was going to pop the question to Molly-Mae Hague just three weeks before.

The boxer likened the proposal to planning a match, saying that he had a "good team" around him as he prepared for the big moment.

Tommy spoke to former Love Islander Michael Griffiths, who now works as a 'Transformation Coach' and presenter

Micheal congratulated Tommy and commented on Molly's "massive" engagement ring - which sparked a nervous laugh from Tommy.

He asked how long he had been planning the engagement.

"I would say two, maybe three weeks before it happened.

Michael looked shocked, and said: "Two or three weeks?! I know you're a man, it doesn't need much thought

"This was a quick turnaround," Tommy laughed, "Thanks to everybody who was involved, it turned around very quickly and we pulled it off, it was great."

Tommy asked Molly-Mae, who he met on Love Island in 2019 summer series, to marry him on a clifftop as singer RuthAnne sang her romantic ballad The Vow.

When asked if it was as "sweet" as he'd hoped it would be, the 24-year-old said: "Honestly it went better, she was completely taken away, completely swept off her feet, I love to see her happy, you know.

Tommy and Molly became parents in January this year when they welcomed their daughter Bambi into the world.

"Bambi was there, so it's an amazing thing. When Bambi's older she can look back at that video and think 'you know what, that was the moment in time when my mum and dad got engaged.

"I had a great team. I had a great team helping me, but honestly - all the ideas and stuff like that, it was myself. Putting it together was a different story, so it wouldn't have happened without a team.

"You've got to have a good team around you, like in boxing, you have a great team around you to get forward, and in terms of the proposal, I had the best team.

"I'm not trying to come across like I've been married 80 years, but I would say, the key to having a successful and long relationship is communication. You have to speak to each other."

Posting a video of the moment on social media, Molly-Mae wrote: "Forever. 23/07/23."

In a video posted to her Instagram account Molly became emotional as she walked into the romantic seaside setting to see Tommy suited and booted holding their baby daughter.

He handed over Bambi before dropping down on one knee and pulling the ring out.

Tommy and his team managed to convince Molly into thinking that they had both been invited to a brand event, which Molly said she totally fell for.

On her story she shared a picture of the two of them laughing, she wrote: "Just before we were leaving for a 'brand event' we'd both been invited to... fake invites, fake emails, notes in the hotel room from the brand, everyone playing along so unbelievably well...

"I've never known a surprise to be pulled off like this. I was COMPLETELY and utterly fooled.

"It was only when we pulled up to the 'event' and Tommy jumped out of the car and ran off and I was handed a letter that I realised all was not what it seemed."
