STILL ROCKIN'

Nineties rock legends unrecognisable 24 years after hit Tequila and working normal job in the building trade

Nineties rock legends Terrorvision look unrecognisable 24 years after their hit single Tequila hit number 2 in the charts.

The Bradford rockers formed in 1987 but were dropped from record label EMI in 1999, eventually splitting in 2001.

The band reunited at various points over the years since, playing a 25th anniversary tour in 2018 and last releasing a single in 2019.

Now, bandmembers Tony Wright, Cameron Greenwood, Mark Yates, Leigh Marklew and Milton Evans recently announced they are performing three special shows to mark 30 years since the release of their debut album.

Milton joined in 2005 and Cameron in 2010, while original members David Ian "Shutty" Shuttleworth and Josephine Ellul are no longer with the band.

The gigs will take place in November in Bradford, Nottingham and London.

The group have released five albums and scored 13 singles inside the Top 40,

Besides Tequila, their most memorable tracks are Perseverance and Bad Actress.

In between music gigs, however, there have been normal jobs in the mix.

Tony, one of the most recognisable members of the band back in the day with his blonde hair and gold tooth, ended up working as a dry stone waller in the early noughties.

He told the back in 2002: "You could say I'm still working within rock boundaries. But seriously didn't Winston Churchill say everyone should build a wall?

"There are no speakers, no noise, no ceilings or walls - apart from this stone wall - it's exactly opposite to what I've done before."

He has also worked with a tree surgeon and as a landscape gardener.
