Mariah Carey channels Marilyn Monroe in figure-hugging pink gown and sparkling jewels
Diva hits the red carpet for a holiday event in New York City
MARIAH Carey channelled Marilyn Monroe in a hot pink dress for an appearance at VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night in New York City on Friday night.
The US singer, 46, oozed glamour in the plunging gown, teamed with sparkling necklaces and bracelets.
The look recalls Marilyn Monroe's iconic performance of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, where she wore a similar pink frock and diamond jewellery.
Mariah is known for her obsession with screen siren Marilyn, who died in 1962 at the age of 36.
The pop diva named her daughter, Monroe, after the actress, and in 1999 she bought Marilyn's baby grand piano at auction for more than £500,000.
