Jamie Oliver reveals he once burnt his penis while cooking for his wife Jools while NAKED
The Naked Chef lived up to his name but despite the searing pain he said there was a positive effect...
JAMIE Oliver scolded his manhood while cooking a romantic meal for his wife Jools – naked.
The TV chef revealed he was left out of action on Valentine’s Day after his saucy plans went sour when he sustained the intimate burn from a hot oven.
Jamie, 41, said: “I was cooking naked at home while preparing a whole sea bass and I had a new, fan-assisted oven and when I opened the door a jet of hot steam attacked my manhood.
“It was a weird thing in life – the worst and best time in my life.
“Worst because the pain was so bad but best because my private parts expanded.”
Jamie, who used to brand himself The Naked Chef, apologised to his teenage daughters, Poppy Honey, 14, and Daisy Boo, 13, for relaying the anecdote on Friday night’s Graham Norton show.
He said: “Sadly it didn’t turn out to be the romantic night I had planned.
“I ended up sitting with some frozen Green Giant (corn) on my old fella.”
Jamie, joined on the show by Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, Will.i.am and Emeli Sandé, added that he had called off hosting Christmas Day at his house this year.
After a year of tireless work and seeing the birth of his fifth child, Jamie has decided he wants a rest.
He said: “I have hosted it for about a decade and the family has got bigger and bigger.
“This year it was going to be about 30-40 people but I’ve had a fifth child and worked hard all year so I have called it off.
“It went down pretty well with some people but not so well with others.”
Jamie added that he was less than thrilled to celebrate his 40th birthday last year and took a little while to adjust.
He said: “The dad-of-five turned 40 last year and told Graham about reaching that milestone: ‘I didn’t like it much. I wasn’t happy.
“Most of my life I have been the young whippersnapper and suddenly I was old.”
Jamie burst onto the TV in 1999 and has gone on to be awarded an OBE and hold successive Governments to account over the nation’s obesity problem.
As part of his TV work he has travelled all over the world, famously training disadvantaged youths to become chefs.
He also owns a group of restaurants and has more than 20 cooking books published under his name.
