Kim Kardashian throws ‘low key’ party for Kanye West’s homecoming and baby Saint’s birthday
The rapper was welcomed home by his family in time for his son’s first birthday
KANYE West was welcomed back into the family fold with a low key party – held in honour of his homecoming and his son’s first birthday.
The rapper checked out of UCLA Medical Centre after more than a week of treatment on November 30 and is “under the care of Kim and his personal physician Dr Michael Frarzam.”
Kim’s low key celebration included her sisters, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, and her half-sister Kylie Jenner.
A source said: “[Kim held] a little celebration with a little cake but it was very low-key.”
Kylie took to social media to share images of the event, which saw dozens of star-shaped balloons in blue and metallic shades fill the room for the party, which was held a few days before Saint's actual birthday on December 5.
Speaking to Us Weekly about the low key affair, the insider added: Everyone is just happy he's back home and things can go back to normal.”
News of the family's celebration came just hours after TMZ revealed Kanye's doctor warned to “keep him away from weapons” in a shocking 911 call before his hospitalisation.
Earlier this week, Kendall Jenner – who has been in Paris for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – admitted she was “praying” for 39-year-old Kanye.
Kendall also said Kim was doing “good” when asked how she was coping.

Speaking to , she added: “Yes, of course [he'll be OK].
“Everyone's OK. Everyone is doing OK, just praying.”
Her comments came after Kanye's step-brother Hal Carmichael exclusively told The Sun Online the rapper is “scared for his life” and is “terrified people are trying to kill him”.
He said: “No one thought Paris would happen in a million years and now he’s seen it happen to Kim, it’s traumatising.
“Ye is tired, he’s hurt, he feels betrayed and he’s probably feeling depressed.”
TMZ also claimed Kanye’s “nervous breakdown” had been partially triggered by the death of Kanye’s mother Donda – who passed away the day after undergoing extensive plastic surgery.
They claimed: “Our sources say the trigger for the breakdown was Donda's death back in November 2007.
“People close to Kanye tell us he never effectively grieved over his mom's death and has always had a difficult time in November, but this time he reached the breaking point.”
They add that the rapper "started to unravel" in the weeks prior to falling ill.
Hal has no doubt Kanye will bounce back however.
He explained: “This is a setback for a major come back for Kanye.
“This won’t have killed his career. Kanye lives off controversy anyway.”
“When he said that George Bush doesn’t like black people, to the Taylor Swift remarks.
“You know, the Grammys for instance, people who win an award – people will forget who won the award but no one will forget that Kanye West moment.”
He continued: “He’ll leave the hospital and go home, maybe go out of the country for a little while – he needs some fresh air and do the things he likes to.
“Kanye will get over this and he will get through it.”
