Meanwhile her Love Island co-star Katie Salmon was recently left unconscious on the street and covered in blood after her drink was spiked with a date rape drug and robbed by a stranger she met in a nightclub.

The 20-year-old glamour model was “hysterical, terrified and confused” when she woke up alone in the street, but can't remember anything other than feeling ill after drinking with a fan.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Katie Salmon opened up about her terrifying ordeal, which has left her too frightened to leave the house alone.

“I’d been out for a curry with some friends and afterwards we went to a nightclub in West London,” explains the Love Island star.

“I met this guy in there who said he was a big fan of the show and was asking me for selfies, so I was letting him and was chatting away as that’s what I’m like.

“He was sat on the table next to us and poured me a drink, I don’t remember much after that but my friends told me that he spent the rest of the night following me around, trying to give me drinks and even waiting outside the toilet for me.

“The last thing I remember was being in the toilet and feeling really weird, my head was spinning, and that’s literally all I can remember.”

According to Katie’s fellow Love Island pal Jessica Hayes, Katie left the club at 2.30am with the man, who she believes is called Daniel.

The hours that followed were horrifying.

“I woke up outside a hotel at around 5.30am with cuts and blood all down me, I was covered in bruises and grazes and I was so terrified.

“My phone had been robbed, my bag had been robbed, I had nothing.

“I was crying hysterically and really shook up, I was so confused and had no idea what happened, all I knew was that I needed the police.

“When the police arrived I felt so strange, I couldn’t get my words out – I was having the thoughts, but I couldn’t speak properly.”

Liverpool-born Katie was so confused and traumatised, it wasn’t until 7.30am that she arrived back at Jess’s apartment after the police worked out where she was staying using Instagram.

“When I finally got to Jess’s she told me she’d seen me leave with this guy at 2.30am and I immediately assumed the worse and was hysterical.

“I just sat on the couch in a daze while my friends tried to clean my legs.

“We called the police again to report what had happened and by the time they came later that morning, I was still in a daze.”

The police told Katie that she showed the side effects of being spiked with date rape drug GHB, however she says that she doesn't feel like she was raped.

After making calls to piece together her night, the police discovered that the stranger had tried to check Katie, who was conscious but heavily drugged, into a hotel but it was fully booked. It then appears that the fan just left Katie on the street to pass out, and stole her belongings.

“The police said it was GHB, the date rape drug, which is common in London. They told me the side effects are to make you go to sleep so he can do… whatever needs to be done, take advantage or whatever, so I’m guessing I went around the corner, fell asleep, he robbed me.

“I was covered in blood as some people can fit before they go to sleep as they’re trying to fight it off.

“It leaves your system very quickly, so they couldn’t test me for it, but because I didn’t feel bruised on the inside, they don’t believe I was raped and they can’t take their investigations any further.”

To add an even more frightening twist to Katie’s incident "Daniel" appeared to have gone to the club alone, specifically to target someone.

“A girl in our group knew one of the girls sitting on the table this guy was on, however none of them knew him, they had no idea who he was.”

Katie now admits that being a victim of such a brutal crime has changed her.

“I couldn’t leave the house for two days after it had happened I was scared of the unknown.

“I know I wasn’t raped but I kept imagining if I had been, my life would have been changed forever.

“That’s what’s really shook me up. I’m still scared now, I haven’t been out much, I’ve been for meals and with people I can trust, but I can’t go to clubs now.”

Katie has appealed to the nightclub for CCTV footage but has been told they are unable to release it.
