Model Jasmine Tookes wears $3 million Bright Night Fantasy Bra at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

JASMINE Tookes literally looked a million dollars on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway - in fact - make that $3.5 million.

The American model was chosen to wear the brand's Bight Nights Fantasy Bra at its annual runway show in Paris, France on Wednesday night, and the 25-year-old carried off the task with aplomb.

The glitzy piece was designed by Eddie Borgo and boasted 9,000 diamonds and emeralds set in 18ct gold.

It took more than 700 hours to create and weighs more than 450 carats and Jasmine looked stunning in it as she made her way down the catwalk.

Meanwhile, in a video released by Victoria's Secret, Jasmine opened up about having "a little alter-ego" when she hits the runway.

She shared: "I have, like, a little alter-ego, because I am normally very quiet and laid-back, but when I get on the runway, I just want to try to be very powerful and really give it my all."

She had to keep the honour a secret for five months and admits it was one of the toughest things to do.

She told the Daily Mail Online at the time: "I have known for five months, and I literally had to keep my mouth taped shut. I mean the only girls that knew were Taylor [Hill], Romee [Strijd], and Josephine Skriver because they were there the day of the surprise.

She added:"I think it was the hardest for Taylor to keep her mouth shut because she is like a wild child.

"I had no idea that I was going to be chosen to wear the Bright Night Fantasy Bra. It was such a surprise to me.

"I don't know how they chose, but I am so honoured to have this opportunity, and be able to walk down the runway with this beautiful thing."

Also appearing alongside Jasmine were model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, wowing the audience on the catwalk in an array of elaborate costumes to promote the iconic brand at its annual extravaganza.

Gigi, 21, stunned in red bra and knickers set with a colourful flowing jacket and multi-coloured lace up, thigh high boots.

With her hair tumbling around her shoulders, the star gave a cheeky smile as she hit the end of the runway before strutting off to change into her next ensemble.

From a kaleidoscope of colour, the beauty's next outfit was an all black number, showing off her slim physique to perfection thanks to the lingerie's thin strap detailing and lace panelling.

Adding extra drama was the obligatory Angel wings, which in Gigi's case were full black feathers with more trailing behind her as she walked in another pair of thigh high, lace up boots.

Not to be outdone, younger sister Bella, 20, wore a blue jewelled long sleeved top with a metallic and black bra underneath to match the knickers.

With black feathers on her hips and rising up behind her, the star looks like a beautiful mythical creature as she hit her mark at the end of the runway.

Changing into her second outfit, which consisted of a grey and silver silk and lace basque, Bella walked the catwalk as her on-off boyfriend The Weeknd performed one of his hit singles.

Despite splitting earlier this month, the stars seemed comfortable in each others company as they made eye contact as Bella walked along, with the singer moving closer to the beauty as she passed.

Following closely behind was the sisters' close friend Kendall Jenner, who wore a black and white outfit which featured a lace bra and long sleeves as well as a Victorian-style collar neckline.

With her never-ending legs on show, the 21-year-old walked confidently down the runway, with black wings on the side of her lace up heels.

Meanwhile Irina Shayk showed off her peachy bottom in a short embellished red number as she swished her way down the runway.

The 26-year-old gave a cheeky grin to the camera before switching into a sultry number which consisted of a floor length trench coat and sexy thigh high black boots.

The Russian beauty finished the look with suspenders and a matching set of grey and duck egg blue lingerie.

While some outfits were monochrome, the brand made sure to have lots of colour on the catwalk too.

Kendall and Joan Smalls were given the opportunity to switch out of their dark hues for more vibrant ones, and the women seemed delighted as they made their way back out in front of the crowd.

One of the most elaborate costumes of the evening went to American model Devon Windsor, who wore a huge circular frame which was strapped to her waist as she made her way down the runway.

The 22-year-old handled the large disc with aplomb, managing to maintain her stride as she manoeuvred the end of the catwalk and headed back to the dressing room for a costume change.

As well as rising stars like Devon, established Angels such as Adriana Lima also made an appearance during the show.

The 35-year-old Brazilian beauty brought plenty of pizzazz to proceedings, working everything she had in a red lace bra and teal strappy knickers with the obligatory thigh high black boots.

Alessandra Ambrosio was another Angel making a return to the catwalk, and she was a dab hand at dealingh with her extravagant costume.

One outfit consisted of a miniscule lace one piece with lots of cut out detailing, topped off with leaf wings, while her second ensemble was a black long line bra, knickers and suspender belt.

With the show split into different themes, one segment featured more preppy, sporty looks, with the models wearing sports-style socks and shirts.

Colours switched from bold to more pastel shades and from sexy to straight up cute and girly.

As the women strutted their stuff, they were accompanied by music from some of the world's biggest artists, including The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

All three stars put their heart and soul into their performances to make the show really go off with a bang.

Gaga pulled out all the stops as her fans would expect, switching costumes a number of times as she belted out some of her big hits including new tracks from her current album, Joanne.

Meanwhile Bruno, 31, also brought his fashion A-game, wearing a fur coat and sunglasses as he made his entrance before revealing a sharp tuxedo suit underneath.

With the show coming to an end, the models all returned to the stage to thank the audience for their support and celebrate the success of the show.

As confetti rained down, the women wooped, cheered and hugged one another while giving the crowd a final glimpse at the lingerie they were modelling.
