Cara came under fire over the weekend for snubbing presenter Martin Brundel as he made his way down the pitwalk.

Brundle's grid walk interviews have become an essential part of F1 coverage, having worked as a reporter for the BBC and ITV before taking up his current role with Sky Sports.

But Cara appeared to be unaware of Brundle's gridwalk authority and brutally snubbed the former F1 driver as he attempted to grab an interview.

As he approached Cara, he said: "Can we have a quick chat, [for] Sky F1? Good to see you on the grid."

She replied: "No." and looked awkwardly at her entourage.

As she refused again and Brundle reiterated: "The deal is everybody has to speak on the grid."

Walking off Cara said: "I can't hear anything, I'm so sorry."

Brundle sarcastically said as he walked away: "I'm sure it would have been extremely interesting."

As fans of the sport rushed to brand her rude, Cara hit back by sharing a post which support her.

She tweeted: "I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides."

She added: "Anyway, I had so much fun today and was so happy to be there no matter what anyone else may think."
