What’s on TV tonight? Shows to watch on Saturday 3 December from Michael McIntyre’s Big Show to Strictly Come Dancing

WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, 8pm, BBC1
As usual, the most irreverent show on the box is jam-packed with chuckle-worthy shenanigans and celeb cameos.
First up, mischievous Michael hijacks I’m A Celeb campmate Carol Vorderman’s phone and receives some surprising replies when he nominates all her contacts for a ‘Rear of the Year’ award.
Secret cameras then reveal a Spurs fan’s reaction to three separate encounters with his footballing hero Glenn Hoddle.
And tonight’s Unexpected Star is mum-of-two Leanne, whose singing dream comes true thanks to her Westlife idol Shane Filan. Sarah Millican lowers the tone with some stand-up, and our host’s take on the idiocy of the phonetic alphabet is spot-on: “It’s M for maniac. F for fandango. G for gnome,” he wisecracks. Slick, feel-good TV at its best.
Strictly Come Dancing, 7pm, BBC1
Hooray – it’s Musicals Week on Strictly! But while us viewers and Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman (l-r) will get to chill out, watching the performers shimmy around to some classic show tunes, it’ll be a nail-biting affair for the five remaining pairs desperate to make it through to next week.
The judges’ job is getting tougher – we certainly don’t envy them.
The X Factor, 8pm, ITV
The X Factor final – and a whopping £1 million recording contract – is within grasping distance for the final four acts, who will be hoping to sail through tonight’s semi-final.
It’s certainly been one of the most unpredictable series ever – unlike last year when Louisa Johnson was pretty much a dead cert from the outset. Let the competition commence, and may the best act win!
Rugby union: England v Australia highlights, 6pm, BBC2
The Autumn International series presents its toughest test for England and captain Dylan Hartley.
Australia may be a side in transition, but a victory at Twickenham would represent a sizeable scalp and bragging rights for England.
If you’re a Sky Sports subscriber, before this highlights show you can enjoy live coverage from 1.30pm on Sky Sports 2.
