Strictly Come Dancing’s Ed Balls jokes he’s taking his ‘snake hips home’ to his wife, as he performs Gangnam Style dance on Loose Women
The politician was voted out of the dance competition last weekend, but he's ready to embrace his new 'sex symbol' status
Strictly Come Dancing's Ed Balls joked he'll be taking his "snake hips home" to his wife as he appeared on Loose Women today.
The politician performed his unique rendition of Gangnam Style before sweeping panellist Janet Street-Porter off her feet live on air.
And after admitting he released his "inner Beyonce" on the BBC show, Ed said he's now prepared to pull off his dance moves at family parties and at home with his wife.
Asked if he'd be treating his wife to any of his new 'moves', Ed joked: "I've taken the snake hips home, yes."
The star quickly clarified that he'd be performing dances including the Cha Cha Cha at family weddings.
He added of his time in the competition: "What I didn't realise is that I had an inner Beyonce."
Remembering one dance with his partner Katya Jones, Ed admitted he suddenly pulled out some hand movements he had never practised before in rehearsals, not realising he was doing it.
He added: "We tried to add as much dancing as possible, but also add the entertainment."
"The first week was really hard with the Waltz, but from then on it was so much fun."
Speaking on the moment his partner Katya was told she'd been partnered with him, Ed joked: "She was probably thinking 'why haven't I got Danny Mac'.
"But we had such a great time. She and her husband are brilliant."
The star revealed he embraced his "inner camp" on the show, and added of other stars: "I think Peter Kay is a little bit camp, as is Gary Lineker, in his boxing short presenting, you can't do that unless you're a bit camp."
Unfortunately, viewers were hit with bad news shortly after however, as Ed admitted he would have worn a leather bodysuit next week.
As if to prove he's kept his dance moves close to his heart, the star then attempted to teach the panellists how to dance - even re-enacting the Gangnam Style routine in the studio.
Sweeping Janet off her feet, the star even managed to perform a half lift.
Elsewhere, he waded into the debate over new US President Donald Trump, and admitted:
"My worry is Donald Trump thinks he can be a reality TV president.
"If you get them mixed up it can be very dangerous, and I'm going to be careful not to do that."
