Kanye West’s brother reveals rapper is ‘terrified people are trying to kill him’
KANYE West has been left so traumatised by his wife Kim Kardashian's brutal robbery that he fears HIS life is now in danger, his stepbrother has claimed.
For the first time, Hal Carmichael – whose mother Cheryl was married to Kanye’s father Ray – has broken the family’s silence over Kanye’s hospitalisation.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Hal says: "No one thought Paris would happen in a million years and now he’s seen it happen to Kim, it’s traumatising.
“Ye is tired, he’s hurt, he feels betrayed and he’s probably feeling depressed.
“It’s like who can he trust? You can’t trust anyone, even the people you’ve been paying to protect you. They haven’t been doing their jobs correctly.
“I think Kanye got to a point when he was fearing for his life and for his family’s safety because of what went down in Paris – I think it took a toll on him.
“He ends up walking about worrying and thinking, who’s going to do what to me?”
Hal admits the family was stunned when they found out the 39-year-old was rushed to hospital on November 21.
Hal explains: “It was so shocking when I found out he was in hospital but I knew in my stomach why – he’s mentally exhausted because he works so hard.
“Since he started out in the business he has never taken a break, or stopped working. He’s lost it right now because he’s only human.

Although Hal has not seen Kanye since 2014, the families remain close.
Hal's mother, Cheryl, who was married to Kanye's father, is still in close touch with Kanye - even attending his lavish wedding to Kim in Italy.
Hal, who now lives in San Antonio, Texas, admits, he's been praying for Kanye every day and says he wants to set the record straight on the stories about Kanye.
After he was admitted to hospital, reports claimed Kanye had been placed on “suicide watch” but, speaking about the allegations from his home in San Antonio, Hal doesn’t think these are true.
He adds: “I don’t think he would have got to the point where he tried to kill himself.
“He’s exhausted from working over and over and over and he’s burning out. He’s not mentally aware right now.
“But he’s a strong man. His dad is still here, he has his wife and two kids to think about. Kanye would never do anything to himself that might affect the people he loves.”
Also, just hours after Kanye was admitted into hospital it was also reported he’d attacked someone in a gym shortly before the ambulance was called, something Hal insists is out of character.
He says: “That’s not Kanye at all, he’s not a violent person.
“He’s always been a man who’s laid back and mellow.”
Just seven weeks before Kanye was admitted to hospital his wife Kim Kardashian was gagged and tied up in a bath by armed gunmen who raided the couple’s apartment in Paris on 2 October.
Kanye took a break from his Saint Pablo world tour to be with Kim but returned to the stage five days later.
But as the weeks went on, Kanye started acting more erratically – even ranting on stage about his friend Jay Z, begging him to come and visit him.
Later on November 19, Kanye played his last gig in Sacramento, California – where he played just three songs before walking off stage after 30 minutes.
The rapper is currently staying in the UCLA hospital and has had his wife Kim at his bedside.
Although it was claimed Kanye was due to leave hospital on Monday, he has been kept in.
TMZ are now reporting Kanye has suffered a "full nervous breakdown" and it is not known when he is due to be discharged.
However Hal doesn’t think it will be long until Kanye be back.
He explains: “This is a setback for a major come back for Kanye
“This won’t have killed his career. Kanye lives off controversy anyway.”
“When he said that George Bush doesn’t like black people, to the Taylor Swift remarks.
“You know, the Grammys for instance, people who win an award – people will forget who won the award but no one will forget that Kanye West moment.”
He continues: “He’ll leave the hospital and go home, maybe go out of the country for a little while – he needs some fresh air and do the things he likes to.
“Kanye will get over this and he will get through it.
“He will be the same Ye with a different kind of glory and a different kind of crown this time around.”
