Ayda Field defends husband Robbie Williams’ leather faux pas in throwback snap on Loose Women

The presenter joined her ITV co-hosts as they discussed men in leather trousers

LOOSE Women Ayda Field has defended her husband Robbie Williams for his past choice of leather outfits.

The presenter was faced with a throwback snap of her rocker partner performing with Tom Jones in a pair of leather trousers AND jacket as the ladies discussed banning men from wearing leather.

The 37-year-old mother-of-two shouted: "In fairness he was on stage and he was on drugs," as her co-hosts pointed out her husband's faux pas.

Led by Ruth Langsford, the group had been discussing women and men wearing leather trousers.

But Ruth, who's married to Eamonn Holmes, soon became the source of their banter when a pictured of Eamonn's face photoshopped onto Robbie's body appeared.

Struggling to contain her surprise and laughter, Ruth, 56, quickly asked for a copy of the doctored snap, while the other women commented on how good the Irish star looked.

Robbie, a former member of Take That, has been upfront about his drug use in the past.

The 42-year-old told The Sun last month that although his partying days are long behind him, he still faces temptations with substances and also battles daily with anxiety and depression.

He admitted: "I don’t want to drink and I don’t want to take coke, I’m really pleased I don’t take coke but I DO think about ecstasy."
