Make-up free Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Uma Thurman have stripped off for the new Pirelli calendar
The actress' struck their best sultry stare for the annual publication's black and white themed shoot
PIRELLI has taken a different track with its latest star-studded calendar in a sultry photoshoot which sees Nicole Kidman and Julian Moore show as much feeling as flesh.
The 44th edition of the annual publication captures the actresses, who are joined by Uma Thurman and Robin Wright, as they tastefully pose in bodysuits, skintight gowns and vest tops.
The images by photographer Peter Lindbergh have been revealed today in Paris.
They are are all in black and white and have been given the title Emotional.
Wearing absolutely no make-up, they cut a different look from the racy, raunchy yet glamorous models used in former shoots for the Italian tyre firm.
Silence of the Lambs actress Julianne perched on a stool and showed off her lean, muscular legs as she sat with her head resting on her hand.
She stared straight into the lens while whipping her long hair back over her shoulders.
Meanwhile Uma struck a similar pose and revealed her natural beauty as she looked thoughtful in her close-up.
House of Cards' Robin Wright dressed in a skintight leotard and leaned seductively over a table for her moment in the flashbulb.
Nicole scraped her iconic flame-haired locks into a messy bun and cuddled her bare legs in a child-like pose as she gave the slightest hint of a smile at the photographer.
Other famous faces in this years' release include fellow actress' Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, Rooney Mara and Helen Mirren and have been selected by Peter to represent both beauty and femininity.
The German photographer revealed his intention behind the moody, attitude-packed shots was to "create a calendar not around perfect bodies, but on sensitivity and emotion, stripping down to the very soul of the sitters, who thus become more nude than naked."
He added: "My aim was to portray women in a different way.
"I did it by calling in actresses who've played an important role in my life, getting as close as possible to them to take my photos.
"As an artist, I feel I'm responsible for freeing women from the idea of eternal youth and perfection.
"The ideal of perfect beauty promoted by society is something that simply can't be attained."

The brand seems to have deliberately steered clear of a full naked look during the past two years, with the 2016 offering showing tennis ace Serena Williams and comedian Amy Schumer posing tastefully in their underwear.
The calendar, first published in 1963, is known for its exclusivity and can’t be purchased.
It was discontinued in 1974 but made a comeback in 1984 and used to be a very titillating publication with many models going topless or completely naked.
