Katie Price’s ex Alex Reid was exhibitionist obsessed with stripping off – he even took Harvey’s meds, says Amy Price
KATIE Price’s mum claims her daughter’s ex hubby Alex Reid made others uncomfortable by continually whipping his kit off - and secretly took her son Harvey’s hormone medication.
In her bombshell new book, terminally-ill Amy Price, 71, lifts the lid on her glamour model daughter’s unconventional marriage to the cross-dressing cage fighter.
Katie, now 45, met Alex twelve weeks after her split from her previous husband Peter Andre in 2009 and the pair tied the knot seven months later in 2010.
But Amy will never forget the way Alex bared his body in front of her the first time they met in a park in Surrey.
“It wasn’t a particularly warm day but all of a sudden, Alex took his top off and just laid down on the grass,” she recalls, adding that this exhibitionism became something of a regular occurrence.
“A couple of months later, he came round to our house with Kate for dinner with family and friends.

“Halfway through, he took his top off and sat there while everyone looked at him agog.”
From the start, Amy believed her daughter was not ready for another relationship but was struggling with her break-up from Pete, who she describes as “manipulative” in her explosive tell-all.
“Kate was on the rebound from Pete. But she was desperate for love and attention and — as usual — not giving herself time to see things clearly,” Amy says.
Alex, now 47, famously enjoyed dressing up as his female alter-ego Roxanne, making his first public appearance in women’s clothing at the 2009 launch of Katie’s book, Standing Out.

Amy remembers the moment she saw him in a gold leotard, long black wig and full make-up for the first time.
“The idea for the press launch was that four men would dress up as caricatures of Kate.
Alex, dressed in a skimpy gold outfit, seemed to be enjoying the event. His voice became soft and girly, and he announced his name was Roxanne.”
After their messy split in 2011, Katie claimed her sex life with self-described ‘transvestite’ Alex was like “the most disturbing porn you could imagine” and claimed his “sleazy, sordid behaviour had left me feeling disturbed, vulnerable and frightened.”
Just a year earlier, in 2010, Katie had appeared head over heels with the muscle-bound man and jetted to Vegas to marry him, just seven months after they met.
But when they got home after the wedding, Amy claims “reality set in” for her daughter as household staff raised concerns about Alex’s behaviour.
“Once or twice, the nannies complained they found Alex’s topless exhibitionism uncomfortable around the house, but things escalated when they said that he had been using Harvey’s hormone medication Genotropin.
The drug is used to treat children who lack growth hormone but is also often used by body builders.
“Alex has since said he injected himself by accident, thinking the medicine was his own.” Amy says.
Two years after they got together, Katie claimed she walked in on her husband performing a sex act with the help of a sex toy on her dressing table and it was the final straw in their marriage.
“Kate told Alex to leave but he said his marriage status entitled him to stay,” Amy explains, revealing how her daughter went to extreme lengths to keep her distance from her former love.
“While Kate’s lawyers were deciding how to evict him, they drew up an agreement which dictated that he was not allowed to enter her bedroom and a guard was told to sleep outside.”
And Amy, who calls many of Kate’s former lovers “utterly toxic” men who who liked to be in control, believes Alex was no different from the likes of Dane Bowers or Kieran Hayler, who Katie was married to from to 2013-2021.
“Often, Kate’s partners don’t seem to be real people. To me, some just want free holidays and more followers on Instagram.
“She seems to feel compelled to give them material objects as a way of making them love her.”
Amy continues: “I think Kate has always suffered from a lack of confidence and a fear of being alone and that’s why she rushes headlong into relationships.

“The divorce from Alex really made me realise that Kate was getting into a pattern of eat, sleep, marry, repeat.”
