Suzanne Shaw reveals if Hear’Say reunion will go ahead – 11 years after split

HEAR'SAY star Suzanne Shaw has addressed whispers of a reunion in the wake of other 90s and 00s bands getting back together.

Suzanne, 41, found fame in the pop group after auditioning for the television show Popstars in 2000.

But if fans are hoping to see Suzanne reunite with her bandmates - Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan - they will be sorely disappointed.

Speaking to magazine, Suzanne said: "It would be wonderful but I think that [chapter] is closed.

"I just don't get the sense that we are all on the same page and - as much as I would love to and that would be amazing - I have very fond memories of that time.

"But I think it would have happened by now if that would have been an option."

Following their huge success on Popstars, Hear'Say shot to fame. But sadly, it was short lived.

In January 2002, Kym announced she was leaving the band.

Rumours of a feud with bandmate Myleene were rife, although they were denied at the time.

However, writing in her 2011 autobiography, Kym admitted a rivalry between herself and Myleene had "festered" in the run-up to her departure, following a massive row backstage at an American TV studio.

Kym penned: "Me and Myleene had a slanging match but someone split us up as we were due to go on air.

"Going on to perform our single was horrible. At one point, me and Myleene had to put our arms around one another. It was so fake and I hated every minute of it."

Following Kym's departure, Hear'Say held public auditions to find a replacement and it was televised on ITV1's This Morning.

One month later, Johnny Shentall - husband of Steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee - won the auditions and joined the band.

But following disappointing sales of their next single, Hear'Say split for good eight months later.

Since then, Kym has launched a successful presenting and acting career and spent 13 years starring in Coronation Street. She is currently in Waterloo Road on the BBC.

Myleene, meanwhile, has also enjoyed a bountiful career in showbiz since her Hear'Say days.

Along with being a classical musician, she has her own weekend show on Classic FM, her own fashion line with Next and is known to host and appear as a guest on C5's Jeremy Vine.

Last month, Myleene was crowned the champion of the first I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! All Stars series.

Suzanne, meanwhile, has also dabbled with soapland and starred as Emmerdale's Eve Birch. She also took part in the 2008 series of Dancing On Ice.

Last month, Suzanne appeared on Lorraine and spoke about her battle with depression and her decision to quit booze.

Noel has hung up his microphone too and turned to acting, appearing in Doctors and Gavin and Stacey.

Danny stepped out of the spotlight after Hear'Say split, keeping what he called a "low profile". He now runs a retro soul act called Danny Foster & The  and is heavily into meditation.
