ROBBIE Williams' wife Ayda Field has admitted the sinmger's anxiety can get so bad, his skin will "break out" with eczema and he can't even face seeing friends.
The star addressed her husband's battle with depression and anxiety live on Loose Women, revealing she often feels like she wants to "rescue" him at his lowest points.
Robbie has been open about his battle with the mental illness, and just hours ago revealed that medication helped him through a “troublesome and sad” time.
Speaking about her hubby, Ayda said today:"This summer was particularly bad. He didn't want anyone around, he didn't want to go out."
She explained: "People expect him to be charismatic... That's not always there in the tank, he's quite shy."
Ayda admitted she often feels as if she wants to step in and help him, but finds it difficult.
"When someone's in their own crisis, it's hard to get them out of it... You want to rescue them for themselves," she told the panel.
"He'll say yes to things and he just says 'I can't', his skin will break out, he'll get eczema on his face."
Speaking of times Robbie has cancelled, Ayda admitted: "Sometimes I just think 'I want my husband here now'."
Meanwhile, Andrea related to it too, admitting: "I cancel moments before. I get workedup and I get eczemea too."
The conversation spread across to viewers at home quickly, and watching on, Peter Andre even made his own confession.
He wrote on Twitter: "Watching LW and the topic is 'is social anxiety making you dread party season'? I never thought I would admit it but like @robbiewilliams I too suffer the same thing. I guess I tend to Hide away sometimes and cancel social things. I don't mean to. Random but I thought I'd tell you all. Thank you :)."
And it comes after Robbie revealed medication has helped him through his difficult time.
The Love My Life singer, who has battled addictions to drugs and alcohol in the past, said his demons have “been all right” since he was prescribed a new anti-depressant.
Robbie, 42, told : “I had a really weird summer. Just couldn’t connect with anybody, apart from my wife.
“I didn’t know how to talk to anybody, even people who are with me every day. I was isolated, in my head.”
He continued: “It was troublesome and sad. Then I tried this anti-depressant and things have changed. The demons are quiet.”
The star, who married actress Ayda Field in 2010 and shares two kids with her, said he’ll never touch drugs or alcohol again.
He said: “I definitely can’t drink. I definitely can’t do coke. I can’t do ecstasy. And I don’t fancy heroin. Or M-Cat (mephedrone) or ketamine or any of those things.
“But maybe there’s a once-a-year special voucher that I get for good behaviour. But not for any of those things. I’ll leave it to your imagination.”
