Eddie Izzard says he ‘had to take a stand’ after years of abuse as man is convicted of calling him a ‘f****** poofter’
Penny of Pimlico was found guilty of threatening behaviour and will be sentenced next week
COMEDIAN Eddie Izzard wore full make-up in court yesterday as a man was convicted of calling him a “f****** poofter” in the street.
Jamie Penny, 24, first threatened to “do” the transgender star’s house when he was away.
Mr Izzard, 54, had refused to give “aggressive” Penny and a mate a ride in his VW Beetle near his home in Pimlico, South London.
Penny saw him again a month later and shouted: “You’re a f****** poofter, you’re a f****** idiot.”
